Like the one about Vez, we'll need a brain on the ice now Mikko is out to grass.(and he can win face-offs!) If it's rumour season, then i'll start one. I've heard, from a reliable source, that Eric Charron's lost his taste for siberian vodka, and he really fancies a few Bud's in Icebreakers next season. ;D ;D Yep, like most of these rumours, it's a load of cr@p! But we all live in hope! ;D

We sure did in the final! We really didn't do well with them.... Anyway, about the rumors - There was always going to be one about JC moving up the road so I'm not surprised by that at all. Nor do I believe it. I have some info that has come from within the organisation that suggests that he will stay with us. But, even without that, I don't think he will go to 'them'. I'm sure that more than most of the rest of the team he is more likely to go for club over cash. And now that he knows that we love him more than Jinman after all, he'll definately stay!

Cardiff Youngsters: Matt Myers and Jonathan Phillips are to study at Nottingham University next year and are set to join the Panthers. The deal is almost complete already and should be finalised in two weeks. Both are said to be 'thrilled' about joining Nottingham.
Dennis Maxwell: Reduced his asking price three times at the start of the season in a desperate bid to join Sheffield but they still couldnt afford him as they looked like re-signing a top D-man. When they found out that this d-man wasnt returning, Maxwell had accepted an offer to join Cardiff. As for next season, Maxwell will be going darn sarf to join London
London Racers: A new backer has got behind London and is funding a big push for silverware. We already know that Anheuser Busch are putting forward money and according to powerful people in IHUK, 3 big names are already on their way, Maxwell being one. London will be a force to be reckoned with.
John Craighead: In discussion with them up the road about a contract next year. He is excited about the possibility of working with Mike Blaisdell as he holds him in high esteem. Blaiser thinks he can iron JC out.
Lee Jinman: We asked him what he could be up to next year, and whether he could return. His answer: "Who Knows? Anything could happen! I'd love to if possible!"
Dave 'Legend' Whistle: Whistle is a Panther! ;D
I'll be back with more when i get it.......

I will be pleased if Phillips and Myers join us next season though.

Whoops I take that back, the first re-signee should be Kimmy Ahlroos, I worship that guy. ;D The first to resign should be: If you can understand: Kimmers Craigers Jinners Cadders Stanners Thommers ;D

We've just GOTTA re-sign 88 & 27. If JC does go, then Please leave the country. -I've seen what you do to opposition!
BTW, don't be surprised if Ben Bliss aint a Panther again next year. Sheffield's a long way from "Calvo"! ;D
Forget Jinman- much as we'd all love him back, He's just too expensive for this league (unless Adey goes with 2 lines- I don't think so, do you?)

my biggest and saddest news:
Belfast Giants: Cannot afford the Oddysey. Unless a new arena is found and quickly, the Giants will not play elite league ice hockey next season. This is from a very very very reliable source and he seemed convinced that it is a very serious threat.
I hope to god that this wont be the case. The league has struggled this year with them in it, without them it could be the beginning of the end.
As for JC i wouldnt re-sign him if i had the choice unless his wages dropped dramatically. I wouldnt give him the highest wage in the team until he becomes more professional and gives his all EVERY game. JC was awful yesterday after being brilliant on Saturday. Jinners is always brilliant, i'd re-sign him first without a shadow of a doubt.

i heard that Craighead was goin Germany next season if he couldnt go earlier (he was asked mid season) like they wanted. i dunno if he will go but if he does then somewhere other than Sheffield would be nice! i really want Caddy, Salonen, Niklas (he was a real nice guy!!) and Struch to stay

Its not really a rumor but more of a hopefull suggestion. PC Drouin back, i've heard hes not the happiest away from Nottingham! Jamie Leach as assistant coach is an idea because adey still hasn't got a clue how to coach an attacking line, its just dump + chase and we all know the players we have are better than that! The two brits from cardiff looked good on saturday and i heard from myers dad himself after the playoff final that he was looking forward to signing and it could all be done very soon! Cruikshanks has been very good this season and dosen't seem to suffer from the usual strange walk abouts that all other panthers net minders do.

After to speaking to Caddy last night i got the impression he would love to come back next year! Jinner said he didnt know what would happen and so obviously is waiting for all his options which is to be expected really! I hope we resign all our current brits! They've all had a great season with us!

Cruickshank would be a fantastic addition. I went to watch at Basingsoke several times this season and frankly he's kept them competetive in games where they should have got hammered, their last home games against both us and Sheffield spring to mind.
I'd like to see Lee Jinman and Joel Salonen back next year both great players and both have earned their money every game I've watched.
As far as JC goes, I can well see what has been said about a return to Germany happening, from what I recall they have different rules about both the numbers of foreign and non-EU players and the joint citizenship would help him avoid being the latter. I expect the money's better too. Hope not though, great character to have in the league either with us or anyone else.
Does anyone know how much lower the wage cap is going to be next year? I presume that'll have the biggest effect on who does and who doesn't return.

I asked Jinner about next season & he said "I'd love to come back, it's up to the club". That applied to Caddy as well. Hope they do make a special effort to sign them, as they are both 50% better when playing together, like getting 3 players for the price of 2. Then again, Jason Clarke told he was definately coming back at last season's playoffs!!!

I really hope that Jinners (virtually impossible ), Caddy, Struch, Stancok, JC and all the brits return next season. I will be devastated if JC does go to the Squeelers. Johnny, do the right thing, either return to Panthers or leave the country. Afterall i dont think the green and orange shirts will suit Johnny ;D . Do you? Other faces i'd like to see are PC, Charron (both extremely unlikely ), Maxwell, Cruikshanks and them two brits everyone seems to be going on about

Then again, Jason Clarke told he was definately coming back at last season's playoffs!!! If asked about returning, most players are going give a diplomatic or encouraging answer. Not many of them would say outright that they were moving on or looking for a club that will pay more money, so take their comments with a pinch of salt.

1 player from this seasons squad already signed. 2 players from another Elite league club signing soon (1 D man, 1 forward). Not telling ya what or who...I'll get shot!

I can't believe Jason Clarke was told he'd be back. I heard he caused (and left) lots of off-ice problems.
There were rumours earlier this season of problems between Adey and Craighead - remember he was missing from one game. Craiger's reaction to Adey following the CC win (picking him up) suggests that any problems are behind them. Players like JC will always attract interest, he's a character. I'd like to see him back.
Sorry to hear that Giants may have problems, they're a great set of fans. According to Powerplay's figures they had the best attendances in the Playoffs
