I just quickly wanted to pay tribute to someone who I don't think has been mentioned yet. Well done to Little Andy for keeping the Nottingham players water bottles topped up with water, sorting the pucks out for warm up & generally being the Nottingham gopher without complaining once. Top work fella. Thanks mate!! But no worries, I was absolutely gutted that I couldn't play, due to my age which may suprise some people who don't know that I am actually only 17, not 35 as some people seem to think!! I was just pleased to have taken part in this extremely brilliant idea and event!! Roll on next year, when I will be 18 (or 36!!) and I shall be able to play!!

Just another pic for Cinders here, its not an action one, but proves that she was on the ice. I have a bigger version if she wants me to email it to her. Discussing tactics with Helen I believe - "You flutter your eyes at him, and I'll skate past him with the puck" - Helen "Don't worry, you will skate past him anyway!" We didn't need to discuss tactics about Jono, having practiced on ice with that line for 6 weeks, we already knew their weaknesses ;D

Sorry about that..

y'know what.... now its over its gonna be weird... I dont train with all of you on a regular basis... I see some of you on Wednesdays, some on thursdays... (unfortunately I normally see Tim both days) and the training sessions were just as bigger part of it as the match itself in my eyes.

Sorry its taken me a while to post.... but here goes
i wanted to thank everyone that took part on sunday, thank you for reminding me what it is i love so much about british ice hockey. The fans in this country and this sport are unique in so many ways, and thats what makes our sport such a pleasure to be a part of. Sunday night showed true spirit and true friendship between so many different and diverse people. The effort everyone put in, from the organisers to the people that turned up to watch, is in no uncertain terms amazing, and thank you to everyone for that.
Special thanks should go to so many people, but for me, Jono, paul, the 2 marks, Adam and ian, you guys are very special people, and not only to devote all your time to such a worth cause and to believe in it so vividly, but also for the marvelous work you have done for ice hockey and its fans. Tom Darnell (i think thats how you spell his name), thank you... for an EIHL official to make the effort was in my eyes brilliant, and nice to have that representation. But in whole, everyone should be proud of what they have achieved, and the impact they have had not matter how large or small on british ice hockey and cancer research.
I had a cracking time, and enjoyed that match more than i thought i would. Its quite suprising to see how many of you lot are actually talented ice hockey players, in particular jono.... that man makes Bobbers look slow! I am already excited about next years event, and hope next year to be on the bench dressed and ready to make jono look even better!
Anyway, that much of my piece said. I hope the spirit shown on sunday will carry through the rest of the season and beyond

It's funny, I too have a strange feeling of 'something missing' at teh mmoment. We could always start now for next year! See you all thursday night!
