Just got back, really enjoyed myself. Well done on the win, not unexpected given the teams but you still had to do it.
Just a quick one ref' our 'reserve' keeper. He was not infact a reserve, he wanted to play having never played before in his life. He wanted to get out there, have a go, and raise some money for a worthy cause, and fair play to him, he did a fantastic job IMO; he was you know whating himself let me tell yer.
And another quickie about the teams. The Sheffield team was not 'selected' when the thread about the event was created on our forum the first 23 names added - played, regardless of standard or prior expierience. That was the spirit in which we were told the game would be played, you had more rec players that got their names down first, fair do's. Everyone there on both reams was there for the laugh, I myself have only ever played 8 times now. I actualy thought second period asside it was quite evenly matched.
As I said, a cracking day all round and a nice little story to tell the grandkids. I hope to get the final total raised soon but have heard it may have surpassed the original RR total so that can't be bad can it? There will be a next year I think, up our way; it could be an all day do with 'mini' teams in a knockout type thing.
Thanks to all who came to watch I hope you enjoyed yourselves as we on the ice did.

I agree with Nem, that first period was close.... as was the 3rd....
As for the keeper.... its hard enough going up infront of 350 to do anything in my eyes and it must have taken a lot of guts to do it like he did.
Fair play to the guy.

Well you looked as though you all enjoyed it. What about seeing it all AGAIN?
Although most of you wont know me, I like to get involved in the sport I love. After a lot of leg work trying to find a printer for the program I withdrew producing one (in favour of someone with more technical ability) to concentrate on doing a video of the whole game. Boy...that was a long project.
The results were fabulous. Really pleased to have got you all in motion. Does anybody know the best way I can get it onto DVD through the PC? Check out your 'sleeky' moves, your fall at the Face-Off circle, the big 'bust up' , the coaches debates? Those'little tyrants' scoring goals and dressing room/interview shots.
Jono PM me with a cost you think appropriate and we can get more loot for the charity.
Those interested can PM me and I'll take a list of persons wanting one.

Dave said tuesday last week. Well up for that Spik, it looked like you got some good footage and the interview with the star man at the end of the first will help sell copies
