Dave said tuesday last week. Well up for that Spik, it looked like you got some good footage and the interview with the star man at the end of the first will help sell copies I can't remember Spik interviewing me

I have another good pic to put up of Jono crashing to the ice just beneath where I was standing. Just remind me what your stats where Jono? I remember the 0+0+0 but what about the +/- My reckoning has you as -2

Fantastic effort from everybody involved yesterday, despite a couple of hiccups I thouroughly enjoyed the whole event. Top marks to Tom Darnell and Ted for doing a cracking job of officiating, Ted dig those Mickey Mouse ears out. Special thanks to Carolle who put on the best lasagne I've ever tasted, I hope it all got eaten. Well done all, a fantastic amount raised and a Nottingham win, does it get any better?

It's probably all been said before but I just want to say thanks to everyone who played, came to watch, helped behind the scenes, the off & on ice officials, Carolle, Carolle's washer-uppers, Spik, everybody (I've probably forgot some people & if I have I'm sorry). The game couldn't have gone on without you all & the whole Rink Rush team are really, really, grateful for all you did. I think we managed to give you all a game worth watching& hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Dave Page said he hopes to have the photos on-line tomorrow afternoon & remember that 25% of every Rink Rush picture you by goes to the Rink Rush so the more you buy the more we get ;D We've still got a few programmes left at £2. Twenty pages of articles, colour photos & more. If anyone wants one send us a PM & we'll sort it out. We'll keep you updated on the total over the coming weeks but for now I'd just like to thank you all once again. It tuly was a memorable night for all the right reasons. Next year? We'll see

a few seasons ago one of the players from an away team used to take about 5 take away tubs with him and auction them off on the bus home.
can do that with the bit thats left! ;D

Brilliant evening, top entertainment and looks like a good amount of money raised for a worthy cause! Apart from the stupidity in the 2nd period (which bit of FUN and CHARITY game did you not get?!) everything went really well I reckon. Special mention re Sheff's 2nd period goalie (White?) - he totally summed up what the game was all about! Ok, so he's not the greatest player out there, but he really wanted to go out there and play, enjoy himself and help raise some cash, - and he saved over half the shots he faced I hear - so in my eyes, that makes him a great player! Well done all of you!

I just want to say that i had a wicked time playing in the game and thanks to everyone involved who made it possible for us to take part. It was a great day and i loved every minute of it, especially getting my two goals Everything from the training sessions right down to the game has been great and i really hope that the same thing happens next year.

There were actually supposed to be a couple of pre-arranged 'fake' fights, but who would have a fake when you can have the real thing at no extra cost?
LOL

What can i say? What an amazing day, the whole event was fantastic and we were all made to feel like the "pro's" for a day! A big thanks to all the Rink Rush Team and everyone else who took part and made the day one that we will all not forget! Nemesis - I can asure you that the "Fight" that started it all off (Myself - Thomas #26 vs Custy #9) wasn't a fake but i think we were both shocker we had actually started with each other due to the fact we get on really well as we have trained with eahc other numerous times in Sheffield on a Thursday!! - Did feel slightly bad after but i think the crowd loved it Pleased with both team efforts.. especially the 2nd netminder for Sheffield... Deserved his award!

After a night's sleep and most of the day to reflect I think I can now give considered thoughts on the events of yesterday. Wow What a great day, and everyone involved should be justly proud that we all manged to raise such an enourmous amount of money for Cancer Research UK, it surpassed anything beyond my wildest dreams. As for the game, played in the right spirit for the most part (apart from a minor 'blip' but luckily everyone cooled down and saw sense) and fair play to Lee 'The Claw' White, it takes some real guts to do what you've done and you fully deserved your award. Glad I was able to entertain the crowd with my falling over masterclass, I'll be starting classes soon so you can be as good at it as me ;D Thanks to all the officials, especially to Tom Darnell for keeping order and Teddy C who stepped in to the breech as a lino at the last minute, especially as I know how much he wanted to play. The great thing was being out there and feeling like a pro hockey player (without the ability!) from the national anthems to the shirts to the capacity crowd, it was brilliant. To top it all I had the honour of being Nottingham captain and lifting the trophy, something I'll cherish forever. Once again just thanks to everybody, we lived the dream, but if someone had told me a year ago that one day I'd be captain of a trophy winning Nottingham ice hockey team, I'd I've called for the men with straight jackets!!
