HAhahahahahah. Jono's little edit has really tickled me for some reason I can't stop chuckeling! Much to the Sheffield coaches annoyance, LOL. Com on over Tom, we are a friendly bunch really.

Oh yea Tomo, forgot to tell you! You got paid the biggest compliment at the game yesturday. Tom Darnell thought you were my brother! Think it was just after that goon incident in the corner!

I can see the similarities, what is it about the Thomas's and that corner. Nothing happened all game away from that corner, think you were both showing off

What a game..... (and that's the kind of Nottingham-Sheffield scoreline I like to see! Mike Ellis, take note.... You know - I was going to post something on here, gently ribbing the likes of Jono, BJ, BDS etc for some slightly shaky skating etc.... but then I thought - no, that would be wrong. These guys (and gals!) had the sheer guts to get kitted up and get out there, some with very little practice behind them. Could I do even half as well as they did? - HELL NO! Congratulations to every single last one of you. Even bigger congrats to everyone who involved/organised/played/watched/whatever... a huge amount raised for a very worthy cause. More comedy moments than could be counted.... but one particularly tickled me - guess who won the Sheffiield team-signed shirt? - none other than Luke Thomas' dad! ;D Luckily for him it was a Sheffield fan who won the Nottingham jersey, and a swap was amicably (and very swiftly! ) made. The look on his face...... ;D ;D ;D

Only just recovered from all the hard work thats been going on behind the scenes. I thought all the hard work was well worth it though. What a GREAT night and in the process raising lots of money for a cause very close to the Rink Rush's heart.
We had a drink in the Castle afterwards with Paul Balm and he said if anyone says "Where's Paul" again he would go mad.
The Rink Rush team were originally Mark,Paul, Mark, Jono, Adam, Ian, Emma,Lyndsey and Myself. We have now extended well beyond any of our expectations on this, I am sure I speak for all of us.
What a great bunch of guys both teams were , spoke to Pink Panther when she got put in the penalty box and she said she could'nt stop smiling, she was loving every minute!!.
Carolle your lasagne and buffet were superb - best I have ever tasted. Thanks!!
Thanks to everyone who helped make yesterday possible, and a success.
Can't wait for next year's game.

Down, but not out. Whilst I agree with Shaggy that I would also have been woeful, its still funny to see Jono on his hands and knees!

Yes me too, have fun, see you later! LOL No probs - I was busy enough myself before the game, flogging raffle tickets.... plus I'm ruddy useless at putting names to faces, so you'd probably have had to re-introduce yourself anyway!

Can't we be friends? Thats my favorite wind up tactic! gets them every time! He was doing my head in. It was supposed to be non contact. If he wanted to play full contact he should of told me before and i would of been happy to co-operate! Anyway guys*, it was an awesome night. Ive played with some great players over the years, and been involved in some big games, but last night will be among one of the best. I found it quite easy to turn up, lace up and play without giving it any second thought, but i know a lot of you guys* had to put a hell of a lot more effort in than that. Its those players that made the game last night. You really summed up 'grass - roots' hockey. We need some guys* like you on the committee of british hockey, and then we might start getting somewhere with the sport. As for the money, WOW! I lost my Granddad to Cancer not long ago, and i bet he would of been looking down last night and feeling proud of not just me, but you all. So thanks guys*, you all made the night a very special one and a very memorable one. Lets hope we can do it again next year! Your all a great group of people. *PLEASE NOTE - my reference to the 'guys' is a general term and not relating to your gender! i get shouted at by some of the girls i coach and wanted to cover my back before you start on me! hehe. ;D EXCUSE ME MISTER!!! this was the one right infront of me when u spilt my 7up on the floor! then had the nerve to laugh!! i did take a picture though! haha

Great game, thanks to all of the Nottingham guys. Sorry to the young lady who'm I clattered in to. Stopping isn't one of my fortays, neither is skating or shooting. Cheers Sully

I just quickly wanted to pay tribute to someone who I don't think has been mentioned yet. Well done to Little Andy for keeping the Nottingham players water bottles topped up with water, sorting the pucks out for warm up & generally being the Nottingham gopher without complaining once. Top work fella.

Hey Jono! There's royalties involved with that pic you have as an avatar! It's a pint. Just another pic for Cinders here, its not an action one, but proves that she was on the ice. I have a bigger version if she wants me to email it to her. Discussing tactics with Helen I believe - "You flutter your eyes at him, and I'll skate past him with the puck" - Helen: "Don't worry, you will skate past him anyway!"
