Just to quash any rumours that may have been heard. I phoned the NIC today and the game will NOT[/u] be taking place in the Arena, but in the Olympic Rink as originally planned.

The arena is being used for a skating clinic and each person has paid about £150 each for the clinic.s...
so they wouldn`t be very pleased if they had to go on the olympic pad.

I don't care what the score is but we'll be playing 100% to the finish. No heads dropping. No dipsy-doodle figure of eights whilst our linemates are getting mashed in the corner. We're a team and we'll play, win, lose or die as a team. Let's go!! Meanwhile, Milo will be making the trip and this will be his first hockey outing. We're coming up to Nottingham on Saturday and staying at Jury's Saturday and Sunday nights. If anyone from the Nottingham area will be in town on the Saturday night I'd be happy to meet up and talk hockey rubbish over a few Cokes (no beer pre-game!) Let me know? Providing Milo's asleep and Lynva's happy I should be able to sneak out for a couple of hours ...

Well I am up and excited....NOT even playing,.lol
I will have to grasp how long the game is in periods and if stop time. Just heard you are playing 2 minute stop shifts.
Keep the game flowing, remember the public are their and us for the charity. Have a good time.

Just heard you are playing 2 minute stop shifts. The game will flow, so long as people don't hog the ice time. It's done so that lines 3 and 4 get a fair crack at ice time as lines 1 and 2. I'm on the 3rd line and I have a fair crack at being an 'A' don't think folk'll want and 'A' on the bench for the whole game. There is no way I'll be able to change on the fly, those steps onto the ice as nearly the same size as me. Anyway... today is the day... I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. Of course I would like Sheffield to win ;D but as long as it's funs for everyone and serious amounts of cash are raised then doesn't matter which team wins, because the real winner is Cancer Research UK. Bring it on!!!!!!
