Thought the game was bizzare in one way. Thought it was a poor effort from the team, then it was 5-2 to 5-4, surly the players have enough experience to see a game out. As for Rasto, thought he made some sharp saves, and one awesome glove save in the second, which reminded me of a save Mika Pietila made a few seasons ago. Although it was either the third or fourth I thought he was at fault for but he needs to get his GGA down from 3.2 to about 2.5. and rise his save % from 88 to 91%.
The D were ok nothing more than 6/10 as a unit, I thought they left Rasto hung out to dry to often.
The Brits, did a decent job but getting scored on twice though may help them in the long run, by teaching them to forecheck harder and be more defensive.
Molin, sure his fast, but reading in the NEP playing with a rib injury.
Wallenberg, great played really well, good three point game from him.
PC Drouin, I admit I slated him a few weeks ago, because of his effort levels thought he was hard working, and a great goal, from him hopfully we'll have no more lazy performances from him.
Shymr, did his job well and had a good tussle aswel, no hugging match, unlike the Lewis Vs Shymr fight at the O the other week.
Richardson works hard but gets no where, only 0+2 this season I'm sure he'll blossom later on in the season.
McAslan was awesome surly he'll get more than 40 goals this season plays with his heart on his sleeve and leads by example hope he wears the black and gold for a few more seasons.

and you have to have serious reservations about Pelletier and Stancok if what we've seen at home so far this season is representative of the way things are going to be. Rasto absolutely should not be cut but he could justifiably quit if something isn't done about a defence which is basically costing him his reputation. Pelletier is good and i really like him, but every game i've seen he doesn't really play as defence. Stancok doesn't seem to be as good as a lot of people made out when we signed him (maybe been put on too high a pedestal?), and I've noticed he seems to take a fair few penalties - only 2 last game I think, but previous it's been more. I wouldn't blame Rasto for quitting cos this is damaging his rep quite considerably, altho I dont see that happening.

that if your proud to be a panther be a moose thing is crap, i'm glad we aint seen it this season
chants are about making noise and that doesn't make any noise what so ever, where as panthers clap clap clap can get etremly loud at times even with a crowd like we had against endinburgh

We should have football chants with swearing in them, that would go down well!
On a serious note tho id love "stand up if you love panthers", just to see if the stewards actually explode trying to get people to sit down!

There are many football chant that could be adapted for panthers, whether you like the sport or not football has the best chants!
'Stand up for the nottingham' would be a good one also, in my eyes i dont see whats wrong with people standing up for a chant especially if they were behind the netting....the stewards would still have a paddy about it though

haha i never said i wanted to sit in silence. i like chants and some of the songs and often participate in them myself. and i really don't care who starts the chants in block 7 or any other block. i just don't appreciate stupid comments. ah dude...get a sense of humour!

as the last man and because he's on the ice the whole game rasto is gonna take some stick if its a high scoreing game. i didnt think any of the goals were his fault but the result of poor D work. if he deflects a shot away its up to the d men to get rid of the puck. line changes, i think, make it difficult to criticise a particular line but maybe m.e left the kids on a little to much. but we won, they got some experiance, so who cares?

can we put this to bed, no problem with guy saying rasto sucks so long as he has no problem with my opinion that he is a total plonker, i bet he was up with the rest of us at the playoffs that tbf rasto won for us! rasto needs a stay at home d man otherwise he might as well be a cocanut on the shy with the protection he is getting, and if he really did suck pal we would have lost on tuesday!
danny meyers seems a little overawed by the rest of the D not the commanding figure he was last season, pelts is the most attacking d man and corey is the most consistant guy in the team but he is a attacking d as well so we have pelts and corey up with the attack, meyers not as good and stancock not up to speed so we need a reeser type maybe bring back jeff sebastian hey! We just need to get rasto some protection on the crease!
fickle fans annoy me, just a little

I just knew after the win that there would still be 5 or 6 pages of people unhappy with something still to gripe at. It appears it's the way with Panthers fans.
Come on guys, 3 wins on the bounce (including a 4 point away haul) and 100% record at home, it's really not that bad....

We just need to get rasto some protection on the crease! It'll have to be Shymr then - there's no one else or likely to be.

You are quite right Rob and i am not having a go however, the only two away wins we have are against the bottom of the table opposition who i am told stunk worse than we did. If this is then coupled with the fact that we have also lost to both hull and manchester who (and i mean no disrespect here) neither expect to do any better i would suspect than midtable and also our home games imho have been far from convincing then it puts things into a little more perspective and why people are not universally happy. If after the next three weekends where we play steelers/vipers/basinstoke and coventry (who incidentally are all above us in the league table) and we take the majority of the points then our campaign will be back on track otherwise we will in all probability fall further behind the leaders...

Maybe so Tex, yes they are bottom. But haven't Belfast and Cardiff, beaten some of the teams you mention? Seems everyone is beating each other this year, and we have proven we can beat Coventry. Points againt Shuff and Newcastle seem like they should come with a bit of hope.

I think we have every chance of taking points of any team in the league but IMO we struggle because we dont have options or a plan B for when things dont go our way which means, more importantly teams will take points off US! We arnt a mid table team punching above our weight, we should be talking about expecting top3 at least consistently and discussing the chance of teams like newcastle taking points away from us

good point Rich, for instance when the Caps were down last tues they sent Stefishen out to stir something up, and it very nearly worked.
a couple of times last season it seemed like Shmyr had been sent out but there have been plenty of times this season he could of been used to that affect but wasnt, thats just an example of a plan b though
