Great performance from the Panthers tonight, they played Steelers at their own game and surprise surprise they didn't like it.
Neilson, Petricko and Rovnianek were awesome for the entire match.
Boniface was a complete joke, all the shenanigans at the end were down to his ineptitude. How can Shmyr get a match penalty after Donkey Darby punched him first? The act of a man who has failed at his job and lost all control of what he is doing. Boniface that is.
And finally the cheating Squealers, don't dish it out if you can't take it. Foul mouthed tirades at fans, injured players taking swings at Panthers players on the ice, spitting at youngsters, swinging sticks over the plexiglass. What a bunch of monkeys. Funny how none of the usual suspects are posting on here tonight, they'd have been all over the forum like a rash if they'd won. Bit of a punch up in the T&D after the game as well, they took it really well didn't they?

Great game tonight. Panthers seemed to go out tonight with the right attitude. Note to Neil Black - Get Ellis re-signed for next season.
Boniface made it clear from the start that he was calling everything first period, but as usual, he changed his mind in the second.
Panthers gave close to their best performance of the season tonight for me. All credit to Neilson, he played his best game. Petricko also played the game we all saw him play last year for Vipers.
We snubbed out Tessier for most of the game (we need to keep this up tomorrow). We mostly left Steelers shooting from long range, which Rasto dealt with all night.
The outcome of Kirkham's emergency meeting with Boniface tomorrow is key for me. If both teams go into tomorrows game at full strength, then we have a very good chance of progressing.
Shame about the end of game celebrations being cancelled, but at least we have a good chance tomorrow.
Come on U Panthers.

Try posting in English instead of this Yorkshire language pants. It's "stopped" not "stoped," and yes you did get what you deserved. Better a muppet than a Squealer.

i just wanna say for those of you tht think boni had a bad game - fair do's
i personally have seen worse and i think boni did his best. Both teams were a little crazy with fighting and with somethings boni had no choice to do...it wasnt the "boniface show" tonyt!
The lads deserved a win and i think the fightin just comes with putting sheffield and panthers togetha...as for tessier being a hard man...all he did tonight was make dives "he's fat, he's round and always on the ground" dunno how much of a hardy he is there!

Great game, just don't get why Bonehead put his whistle away in the third. He called well in the first two, I thought, so why did he think he didn't have to call much in the third is beyond me, it is time that the game officials realised that we go to watch a hockey game, not a one-man-show starring Stripey the Clown!! OK who was the guy wearing the #76 jersey? The guy who has been criticised and abused by many on this site for his poor play, and I include myself in that, was absolutely AWESOME tonight ( If that's what growing a 'tache does, I hope Corey grows a full ZZ Top beard by 6pm tonight. Shame that the Steelers can neither accept defeat or win gracefully. Shame also that some fans can't leave the arguments to the game, instead of getting personal.....BDS and Mark....you guys should know better.

After un scrambling what you said there (text and slang talk is not meant to be used here) i have to disagree. Boniface lost control over the match with his stupid calls, and then not calling others. If he had kept a hold of the reins and given proper punishment then the game would never of been so full of cheap shots, dives, underhand tactics and more. Yes i have seen worse matches officiation wise, but he did lose it, more so than Hicks ever did.

Rivalry is allwell and good, but personal abuse stinks no matter who by or too. You won by playing a game plan that we could not match. Nothing wrong with that. As long as there were no deliberate attempts to end a players career. Nothing is worth that. Well done Panthers. It should be an interesting game tomorrow night. Hope they bring Cloutman up to ref it.

I just wanted to echo the comments re Corey Neilson. He has suffered a great deal of vitriol on these boards but absolutely deserved man of the match last night. A couple of hits last night were superb and he went a long way to proving that if you shut Te$$ier down you shut them down.

Security escorted the drunken one out of the building.

What a game - but what about the atmosphere - Cracking
must admit a bit devastated about Shmyr, but according to the official site - theres a high chance it will be rescinded.
definately worth a drive up tonight.
really disappointed about the end of the game - would of been nice to have given the team a big thank you and send off prior to tomorrow.
Good luck guys and i'll be cheering loud for you on Sunday.

The guys were great tonight and NEILSON was immense! Head and Shoulders above EVERYONE on the ice!
GLad to see they stood for none of Sheffields usual cheating nonsense.......pity Boniface didnt!
A new song for Sheffield................."You only score when you're cheating........score when you're cheating........................"
And regarding thier antics at the end they are a disgrace!

Fair dos about what I said in the early hours, still pumped up I suppose. No hard feelings Dave.
Great game, one that finally matched all the hype, and Corey Neilson, man of the match by a country mile.

No punch up in the T&D bar, very nearly though. Just some alteractions about things that happened a couple of weeks ago and the wrong persons being accused of wrongdoings. Too much booze and excitment for someone, should have gone home to bed early.

no way ! shmyr can't be banned ! he was involved with someone not even registered to play and i think it was all heat of the moment.... if Jan is to get a match penalty for saluting the sheff fans then what about the steelers player who threw his stick at a panthers fan on the way off the ice?

Well done to Neilson for his MOM performance tonight. shame we couldn't see his presentation, or the players weren't allowed to go to the finals in what could be the final home game. Great effort by all the panthers players, just need another top performance tonight. Shmyr probably won't get his ban lifted, Jan may well be in further trouble for his salute, but surely Duarby must be banned and fined for interference when not playing.
