So Giants v Stars and Devils v Flames After all that, it's going to be a Giants VS Devils Final. Ain't it. I do hope Stars and/or Flames make it to The Final. Could be a very interesting weekend

Bloody brilliant as far as halting the EIHL money grab. No late surge in ticket sales now.

We spoke to Guildford fans outside after the match tonight and many of them are not coming next week even though they qualified. They said they just couldn't afford it. I really cant see many more tickets being sold than whats already gone apart from maybe the Devils.
As of today still around 2800 tickets left. Plus blocks 1 & 2 not on sale & whatever is left in the suites. The only block to have had significant sales is the Dundee block. They’ve sold just over 120 tickets since last week. And in total only 147 tickets sold in total since they went on day release.

Who's going to the Legend pub this weekend coming? I have a table reserved, when should it be taken by (time?), would our names be on the table given? Just asking as I'm not sure how to catch Shelley, have twitter but I'm a useless techno.

Yes it has and I don't blame your subconscious for mentally reaching back in time for a better time to have been a Nottingham fan. 😃 I know mine does all the time. Right now it's a hell of a lot more appealing than living in the present reality of Pantherdom 😂

Ooooh, oooooh. There has been a late burst of ticket sales, Dundee have been allocated the back 2 rows in the Braehead blocks 😂😂😂 I checked it the other day and Dundee had sold quite well, they had 1 ticket left in their solitary block (12, one of the smallest ones, but still). Today they've still got that 1 ticket left, and none of the extras from Glasgow (they'll always be Braehead to me too) have been sold. Over 2600 unsold seats for semi final day of POFW. I remember when people used to get upset about priority windows and stuff like that. A complete shambles, even with their history of M&S bag for life cup draws, this is a new low point.

So, what's capacity, and can we work out, in a Bullseye style, what the EIHL could have won?
Will it be around 4800 weekend tickets sold at £110 (2600 or so left) compared to let's say 7500 (sold out) at £90 ish (mix of prices)? That would be £150k ish out of pocket? Did it sell out in 2019?

Another question. Anyone that knows me (or not) who can help?
Not going to the actual matches but thinking I can't even get to the inner sanctum (shop etc) and especially the concourse area. Due to stewards not letting me up the stairs even on the day. Can someone allow me to meet them before they go in (or something like that) and hand over a finals programme, as I do collect these? Or any ideas otherwise?

Cigarette packet maths (so well suited to an Elite League discussion), but yes I'd think about 140k down on current sales.
To get the same value as a full arena (7500 per day at £45 per day), they'd need to sell about 6140 seats per day at the current £55, I think. Nowhere near it.
That's before you get to the days of additional seating at the stage end etc.

What we will never know is if (under current circumstances) the place would've generated more revenue with prior prices. Fuller, almost certainly, fuller enough to make revenue bigger? 4800 x £110 = 5900 x £90. So would lower prices have added 1100 bums on seats? +21% to what has sold now? The way a lot have been talking, they wouldn't have gone in any case, some not even if it were free.

I think a price below a hundred is a much easier sell than this has been, especially for the 'local' sides.
Between ourselves and Sheffield we're currently giving back almost a thousand tickets. When does that ever happen? Coventry and Manchester, also local-ish, sending back over 500.
Given the financial state of the country at the moment, slapping down such a high asking price was a very bad look for the league and clearly put a lot of noses out of joint. I think a price hold, or much slighter increase, would've met with much more good will. People are understanding of the clubs' finances, and still want to go to the weekend, but £115 with the fees...
Another bad look for the league will be a 2/3 full arena for our showpiece event.

Been thinking about another angle tonight too. Let's say by some miracle Dundee or Guildford win it. I feel really sorry for them that they don't do it in a full arena. Our club has had their time of that, it's a shame they may not get that too

Another bad look for the league will be a 2/3 full arena for our showpiece event. I was expecting a price increase, somewhere between £95-£99, wasn't expecting £115. Another factor was this weeks delay. I can't remember the timing of the announcement but I'm assuming that they thought that a lot more games would have been postponed and rescheduled.

I can see Guildford taking down Cardiff.
Even though love to see Dundee defeat Belfast, I can't see Belfast having as much trouble as they seemingly did with Coventry.
