I've noticed that Face Off Times have changed, it's 15:00 and 19:00 for The Semis and 17:00 for The Final.
Is this to accommodate Premier Sports?

Andre Rieu is in town and apparently has a very large entourage etc. (Don’t take that the wrong way...lol). They need time to dismantle and prepare and I think the early face off could cause problems . I know they were struggling last week when the darts were on and had a really late finish trying to get cleaned up. , did anyone else notice how sticky the floor was in the stands ?

That’s just plain wrong when some people have been conned into buying a full weekend they may not have wanted. Hope nobody buys one !

There are currently 3000 tickets left to sell including all of block 1 & 2 which are not on sale . Apart from Steelers and Panthers tickets Sales look very poor even Cardiff sales aren’t brilliant.

Problem is fans will still gobble up the day tickets and the league will think they've done a job again 🤷

Visual representation of the catastrophe unfolding for the league
Genuinely curious and worries about the fallout from this. Pubs less full, hotels with cancelled bookings, I'd expect local businesses who print money on POFW to have noticeably reduces takings.
Plus how much were the league banking on a high attendance? Is there going to be a shortfall in the EIHL Accounts because if this debacle?

I'm not sure the league has got this right, by a long way, but no-one's been conned. They would've been if tickets had been <£55 a day, for sure. Having the play offs in anything less than a full arena is not a good look, though.

If they have the gall to lower the prices a few days before the weekend I will absolutely wet my sides.

Someone has stitched all the pictures together. That's astonishing tbh, especially our blocks. They've really got this one completely wrong.

The solution is obvious, reduce the prices now, implement concessions and give the fans who have already bought tickets a refund of the difference. On top of that, issue an apology to the fans for ruining the best weekend of the season through their own greed. When pigs fly.
The interview with Tony Smith the other week spoke volumes to me. There was absolutely no justification from him for the prices and I got the impression that he didn’t care that families and children won’t be able to go because of it.

Err when the tickets first went on sale there was never the option just to buy for the Saturday was there.. therefore they were conned to buy the full weekend pass when perhaps they wooosnf have preferred it

Yes they have because it appeared that single day tickets would not be available because of clever wording on the original press release. I believe there will be people who would not have bought a weekend ticket if it had been clear that day tickets would be available later. The EIHL tried to fill the coffers and it backfired on them spectacularly,so now they revert to sneaky plan B which in my opinion is rather underhand.

Imagine paying out £55 for essentially one game ...
