I do wonder if the arena has something to do with the price hike aswell. They are also trying to recoup lost revenue wouldn’t surprise me if the rate for the weekend has doubled. Online tickets only because they don’t have the staff in the box office anymore, plus who wants to queue outside if it’s freezing cold or raining. I'm guessing that's why Panther Season Ticket Holders aren't getting first dibs, I'm sure they can't find a way to separate the Season Ticket Holders from the non season ticket holders online. This is correct, they can't. They lost the means two seasons ago.

Mental amount of money to spend on maybe 1 game for your team. I’ll be surprised if we make it to be honest.
It’s insane but I agree that the arena are trying to make more money.
Always next season lol

Oh dear, to add insult to injury Steelers fans and Devils fans have to fork out another £5.00 per ticket (so £120 in total per ticket) when buying their tickets through the club or supporters club. I only just noticed that, outrageous. Why not just let them buy from the arena? Oh yeah, can get more cash. I'd love to know the breakdown of the tickets, I'd put decent money that the lion's share is going to the clubs. Isn't it still subsidised by the council in some way?

Of course the massive lions share will go to the clubs,if it wasn’t it would be played in Sheffield. It wouldn’t cost that much to hire the arena for a weekend, even if it was £100k you’re looking at an event which IF it sold out would generate probably close to £1million in revenue from tickets, sponsorship, programmes,50/50s and merchandise etc.

Can't speak for this year of course, but that's how it's always been in the past, and why it always remains there.

There are many other factors that could've led to no ST priority but I dont think it's a coinsidence GM is no longer around. I believe this is the type of thing that Gary would've always fought the fans corner on with NB. If it's not a concious decision to dismiss ST holders then it's instead more evidence that without Gary there is nobody stearing the ship with their finger on the pulse.

It's very true there's no voice 'against' NB in the current dynamic. That much is very obvious. He's surrounded himself with 'yes men'.

There is no reason whatsoever why the EIHL need to be so greedy here, but if sufficient fans are daft enough to pay it then expect the EIHL greed to continue in future. It really is time the fans said no !

For the 3 of us to go to the Playoffs this year it is going to cost us around £1200 in advance with obviously no certainty that Belfast will be there. If you add on for additional things such as transport food/drink then the weekend will probably shoot up to £1500 quite easily. As a comparison myself and my wife are two weeks later going for a weeks holiday in corfu where the total cost (Excluding food) is £500. I love the playoffs, I love going to Nottingham and I love the overall experience but the time has finally come to say we won't be going again.

A hell of a lot of noise from long standing fans like myself who could afford to pay it, but just wont out of principle. I'm almost certain it will sell slowly to start. The league will have to hope bigger teams make it and then people react by spending once they know their team is there. It's the only way they'll see anything close to decent numbers

Of course it won’t be,but it would be bloody brilliant to see those greedy gits at the EIHL get their just desserts ! 🤣

I have been going to see the panthers for appx 20 years and can tell you that I could count the number of things I have bought from the arena on one hand tbh, the reason is I just don't like being ripped off paying over the odds for drinks and snacks etc.
Buy them in advance for a reasonable price is my reasoning.
I used to pay for extra non ST games when they mattered and you didn't get fleeced with extra stupid costs.
For the arena and owners keep fleecing the few whilst you can to the detriment of your long lasting supporter base and see how sustainable a business model that is.

How long before the EIHL wheel out Kelman or Smith with either a dodgy sob story about rising costs or an apology and a backtrack ? 😉

I haven't missed a EIHL playoff weekend yet. It's the highlight of the season, *even* when your own team get stuffed or dumped out...
... But this is one too many dumping on the fans by the EIHL, so I'm sorry but this year it's the POFW that can get stuffed!
And I *never* thought I'd be saying that.

I won't be going into the Arena but if someone is and can get me a programme. Even pass it back to me at the entrance. Just PM me ta. It's for the usual collection of course. Just mailed Belfast as regards the CUP final programme too but not heard as yet, so probably might be asking the same of anyone going there too.

You’ll probably get stung for about £15 for a POFW programme. 🤣🤣

Well after talking to the rest of our friends last night we have all decided that this year for the first time in about 18 years we will not be attending playoffs this year. We had 40 tickets between us for the last playoffs (cancelled) but cannot justify the price this year. We’ve decided to have a bring and share party on the Sunday and watch the final from home. We’ve even heard from friends in Belfast who are seriously considering losing their flight money and not bothering on coming.
As for the rental of the arena I didn’t know the council gifted it free, the first year at the arena we had the small rink boarded and stalls on it and also a beer tent out on Bolero square. The following year the arena wanted 10k for the small rink and the league decided against it saying it was too expensive.
