Maybe he needs a clean break from NHL etc, Anthony & probably others on that SteelHawks team will have told him about the EIHL. Lets hope he settles and that in 4 weeks time your not all calling him crap and a waste of money, he's sure got some adjusting to do and hopefully as Rich said he has to learn what he can and cannot do on the ice in this league. Cant wait till we show him Fife.... Fingers crossed he turns out to be a real gem.

Top defence man in the league in Olsen and if Stewart performs, top forward. The league may be gone but a CC and playoff push isnāt out now

Our forward lines are seriously stacked. With all now fitš¤ there should be plenty of goals. Just look at what it could look like if Billingsley is the one to stay out(Personally Id like to see him play). Guptill Hurtubise Rheault Henderson Bolduc Stewart Perlini Pither Kovacs Farmer Richard Betteridge Lacho. Thats just one set you could go with. Whatever Cherno does it time to settle them down and kick on now. Out of interest which import forward would you sit if you had to? Pither hasnāt been as effective compared to last season but he always works. IF we had to pick a forward Iād have to agree with others and say either Kovacs or Hurtubise, BUT I wouldnāt drop a forward Iād continue to rest Billingsley. The lines could look something like: Henderson Pither Rheault Kovacs Guptill Stewart Richard Bolduc Betteridge Farmer Perlini Hurtubise Lacho Tetlow Rissling Olsen Lee Lepine Hughes Billingsley Whatever way we setup it looks pretty stacked. Effectively it feels like weāve added 3 quality signings since Christmas. Iām feeling optimistic now and Iām really looking forward to the Fife game!

Just a general question and no way a dig at any player but would you rest Billingsley and keep Tetlow in? Tim has a lot more experience surely?

I think Tetlow has done a good job and come on a lot, however Billingsley is still a better Dman overall that Tetlow at the moment. Tetlow didnt feature towards the end of last nights game. That perhaps due to Cherno not quite trusting him to that extent yet. Id go for Billingsley in and Kovacs out. I suppose there is a different way to look at it though. Would you rather Tetlow play regularly as one of the top 6 Dmen. Or Lacho play regular as part of the top 12 forwards?

I heard last night that he'd signed, his kit was here, but wasn't coming. Rumours, eh?

I'll go enquire, will get back to ya. Smiley face. I thought it was all about the Calgary stampede & being ālooked afterā once the skates were hung up; not about the $$$? Which is why he's signed for us & not some overpaying outfit. Maybe.

I completely agree that Billingsley is a better defenceman than Tetlow but Iād rather have Tetlow as part of the 6 D for the reason you mention. Itās hard to call a player who has been as loyal as Lacho but he offers very little offensively now. If heās the 13th forward, then I feel that all 4 forward lines offer a threat, Lacho can still play on the PK and cover shifts after power plays etc. I feel Tetlow is good enough to play as the 6th dman and that enables us to utilise more import forwards. But Iām not the coach and itās going to be interesting to see what Rich does!

Terrific signing, as was his brother back then. A big, hard hitting, high profile player. Can't wait to see what Darnell and the other stripeys make of him. I just hope that non calls and persecution don't pig him off too much.

I just hope that non calls and persecution don't pig him off too much. His brother ended up being being pretty underwhelming as a player though, despite his CV. Came from the NHL to Panthers, scored 3+5 in 16 games, and never went back, not even for a single game. Compare and contrast the point a game players that were Beleskey (although now he's the highest paid player in the A, I think ) Miller, Sestito and Bissonette, who got 19 points in 10 games with Devils. All scored more than Stewart and returned to the NHL.

Some good players in that Steelhawks team who also know the EIHL, bet Lingers had his say aswell. Wonder if we're cutting anyone? Hopefully not Guppy. Linger yep and as Stewart played a long time in St Louis it could be that Cam Jansen and Brock Wilson had a word or two. š

Inevitable fight compilation.
I'm not sure about his nickname on the video though...
I doubt he will have many in a Panthers uniform but you never know. I'd much prefer to see him rack up the points...

Others were suggesting nobody could keep up with his superior skill amd vision, thus the reason his passes were to nobody 3/4 of the time.

On more than Evan Mosey, maybe... But is he on more than all our other players? š Top top signing - best player in the league if he plays to his stats - is it too late for the title though? Think weāll probably lose 25% of our games but not sure Giants will. Mind you, think youāre favourites for the end of year bash now lol Finally itās certain weāre 4th now in the budget league šš

Good signing by you guys, as you certainly need something or someone to improve things, tough guy who in this league could really impress. Not sure why he has come to the EIHL straight from the NHL/KHL, Canāt be a moneything thatās for sure, still itās good to see hopefully a top player playing over here.

This is a good attempt at winding certain other Devilsā fans who come on here. Itās alright, our budget is lower than yours 4th best budget. Proven fact is that... Well as rumour has it that Messrs Black and Moran were furious about Mosey Iād probably not believe any info that comes from their direction myself. Met Steve King and Brian Parker whilst away for the CHL. They seemed very genuine in repeating their belief that we are 3rd/4th highest budget. Maybe theyāre genuinely mistaken, maybe other teams are paying over the odds. Canāt imagine this chap has come in cheaply, but as a boost to the fan base itās probably priceless.
