Crazy good signing. All but straight out of the NHL. Asuming he is on the back of an injury and looking to utilise us to get back to fitness ready for next season. As long as he is good to play the rest of this season then Anthony must be a huge part in why he chose to come here. 😁

Big signing! Proven point scorer in the NHL, big, physical and he’s right handed!😂Well done Panthers! Now, let’s make a charge for that league title!

Announced his retirement this season after he no-showed a KHL signing press-conference. Worries me slightly, however if he's come to play (and not come for a holiday) he more than fills the hole Biggs left, should provide physicality and put up the points. Potentially a cracking signing.

On more than Evan Mosey, maybe... Now you and others can stop moaning about the money. Because he will be on silly money more than any devils player.

A club spokeswoman said: “The club had this lined up a month ago and all the paperwork is already in place and his international clearance was received over a week ago.” Sounds like the ink dried a while ago... Still, has the potential to be a very good signing and at least adds some interest to Saturday's game. www.eliteprospects.com/player/10442/chris-stewart

Some good players in that Steelhawks team who also know the EIHL, bet Lingers had his say aswell.
Wonder if we're cutting anyone? Hopefully not Guppy.

If he can play simply at half his talent he’ll still put up a lot of points but if he can go full pelt then we could be in for a treat. Let’s wait for him to ice and then assess it, but 650 NHL games is a marvellous record for someone coming into this league, nevermind someone with his points record.

Even if stewert plays at 50% ability that's still a lot more than a lot of current eihlers as he's coming down from a much higher level

Saw this too and was just about to post it. Hopefully whatever the exact reason for his brief retirement is now behind him. Had fitness issues earlier in his career too. Quality CV. You don't get many players with his playing resume playing in this country these days. Obviously he would have earned far more money in the KHL compared to here. Hopefully he's come to play and not for a holiday. We will know more when he's been here a month or so... Good luck Chris Welcome to Nottingham...

I'd imagine he wasn't wanting to pack up over Christmas and move here, leave his family behind. I believe he has kids, he and Anthony lost their mother not all that long ago too I think so personally I feel he was just wanting to spend Christmas around his family before committing. It's not like he needs the money, in theory and if a guy like Chris sounds happy to come to us then I'd be happy to wait an extra week or two.
Delighted to have him, he can do it all. Plays with a physical edge, and he can score. 0.49PPG in the NHL over 650+ games is some going, he isn't some call up only NHL'er like the club and EIHL have over hyped in the past. He's a genuine talent and I really cannot wait to see him play on Saturday.

Our forward lines are seriously stacked. With all now fit🤞 there should be plenty of goals. Just look at what it could look like if Billingsley is the one to stay out(Personally Id like to see him play).
Guptill Hurtubise Rheault Henderson Bolduc Stewart Perlini Pither Kovacs Farmer Richard Betteridge Lacho. Thats just one set you could go with. Whatever Cherno does it time to settle them down and kick on now.
Out of interest which import forward would you sit if you had to?

Hurtubise or Kovacs. #21 has got the edge with his goalscoring and one-timer, #15 is a harder worker. Both disappear from games.

Kovacs for me, has plenty of skill, does some good stuff but 3/4 of his rushes end up in a simple turnover. However I will say, I dont think there is a standout bad player that is clear favourite.

Why does your organisation wait until after Christmas to drop bombs like this! Incredible signing.
Decent with fists too if it comes to it.

This should guarantee us third place in our battle with Fife. Top signing, almost delighted.
