It’s sad to see but it’s clear that Pidge is crushed by the gradual realisation that Corey wasn’t the main problem at the club.
Looks a decent pick up for Steelers in an area they needed to strengthen.

Considering the lines they tend to play on, Farmer is doing OK, and Perlini is getting there more since he's switched back to playing with Pither. The 4th line of Lacho, Betteridge and VanKleef isn't going to get you much offence at all though, is it? 4 points between them this year is pretty average, and a big step down from last year's production for the 2 Brits. This post is spot on, That 4th line is not good enough with the budget you have. Rutkis for the devils has the same/more points than these 3 in less games. It’s definately a place you can upgrade your team. Imo. I've just looked. All Devils import forwards bar Morissette have at least 8 points in 9 league games. Morissette is captain, and it looks like has been given the job of leading the 4th line, which may explain the lack of points? (He has 3 assists in 9 games, 2 of which were in his last league game.) I notice Rutkis was MoM the other night at the Blaze. Biggs and Doty have 8 points between them in 31 games played.

I like Biggs but he needs to get scoring more points otherwise he will be a disappointment.
Doty is ok I guess but again do you really need him??
The thing with panthers is they rely on pithers, kovacs and rheault untill he got injured.
The devils have scoring power on all lines and that’s where they have the upper hand.
I’m sure you will come good at some point lol.
And if steelers still finish above you after the start they have had then next year you will need a big clear out.

This is the sort of comment that just banishes any sense of interest (from me at least) from what you write on here. It's petulant and unnecessary. Insulting the homeless? Nice. This is the sort of comment that just banishes any sense of interest (from me atleast) from what you write on here. Its over-sensitive and unnecessary. Did you really need to respond? Nice. Comedy genius. As someone who’s seen first hand the absolute hell some people live with, forgive me for speaking on their behalf and attempting to tackle the stereotypes they have to live with. I’m sure I won’t be a great loss to this ever dwindling forum but I’m done here.

What do you think of Bowns, compared to Garnett, for example? I mean it's obvious Garnett is clearly the superior keeper, what is your view though?

Makes sense. Whistle isn't consistent enough to play a full season without having a few howlers. So splitting the N/M role between the two should give them better coverage, as long as it's managed correctly. It worked well enough for Panthers with Garnett/Galbraith & Wiikman/Pacl. As long as your psychic and know before the game which one of them would be having a howler tonight so you can play the other one ! 😀 Yes, but even if they give one the night off, theyve still got a more than capable backup in Day.

Garnett was poor for you last year, and this season has let you down in a few games too. Being British my starting netminder would be bowns.

I'm assuming we're all adults here and well aware of the plight of the homeless. Its an incredibly sad, complex state of affairs that is not often looked upon with sympathetic eyes or a willingness to relate.
That being said, Iginla made a off-hand comment in what is clearly an attempt at humor.
Aren't we making mountains out of molehills here? Back to Hockey, eh?

Bowns is the dream for any EIHL team really, but take his passport out of the frame and does he still shine so bright?
Bowns was 4th last year for save percentage and that's with a championship winning defense in front of him.

That’s the reason I said because he’s British, If he was import I wouldn’t have him.

That’s the reason I said because he’s British, If he was import I wouldn’t have him. I’d have an import nettie over Bowns in a straight choice. However, because of that passport in my opinion what you may lose occasionally by having Bowns is far outweighed by being able to have that extra skating import. Particularly when it’s the quality of skating import that Cardiff sign !

It’s sad to see but it’s clear that Pidge is crushed by the gradual realisation that Corey wasn’t the main problem at the club. Looks a decent pick up for Steelers in an area they needed to strengthen. What’s the main problem then?

I'm sure some Panthers fans want boom or bust 😂

Looks a decent pick up for Steelers in an area they needed to strengthen. What’s the main problem then? 1. We haven’t spent enough money on the roster. 2. Or Andrew Lord is a genius at recruiting. 3. I keep hearing (not for the first time) that our players are totally naffed off with all the off ice stuff Panthers expect them to do. If it’s No3 then Cherno and Lepine need to be saying something to the management because this happens every year.

Nobody wants bust. As the biggest and best supported club in the country we should at least challenge for the league every now and then.

Correct Rob....but also No. With our resources,we should challenge for the league virtually every year !

I'm sure some Panthers fans want boom or bust 😂 Quite a few years we have supported more than one team and we didn’t go bust. Bust isn’t even an argument now unless we signed 40+ high quality players and bought them E-Type Jags for transport.

A big, juicy rebound to give Coventry their first goal. The less ice time he gets this year the better they will be unfortunately.
