"Once the fixtures are out each team will give us specific games which the ST can be used for." That's te bit that worries me if I were to think of purchasing one of these. maybe not so much to worry of in the end but I'd want prior understanding what games, should I be used to just fill up a usual poor attendance. So I'd not buy right now.

Seems a bit of an odd idea. I suppose it keeps the fan base together in a way, and keeps the name alive, but to what end? Are they expecting they might get an ice contract again the season after next or something?

Are they expecting they might get an ice contract again the season after next or something? That would seem the only likely reason. Seems a bloody daft idea though. 🙄 Can’t see there being any Panthers v Steelers games on “the ticket” so basically from the other teams it will be “come and watch our crap games that our own fans aren’t that bothered about” ! Lol

Do Murrayfield Racers have the right of appeal against the EIHL or is it not worth the bother as they have already made their minds up as to what they are doing to get a 12th club in the league. Are Murrayfield going to be reformed regardless or the plans now changed therefore they don't plan to use the rink, therefore the rink goes back to Edinburgh?

The rink have said they'll not give the ice time to the Caps organisation. It's Racers or nothing.

More farce revealed today in the press. Must really say something about the Capitals management if the rink refuses a £50k sweetener above & beyond the rink hire money.

Got talking to some Caps fans whilst up in Scotland and they basically said that with the liquidation of the Caps in November the rink owners finally lost patience with Scott Neill and wanted him out. Putting the ice time out to tender was their way of doing this. There was never any chance of any club associated with Scott Neill was going to win a bid for ice time The losers in all this are what remains of the Caps fanbase. It says alot about the rinks feelings toward Scott Neill thàt theyve apparently turned down such sizeable amount of money from the league. The EIHL is far better off without him.
