Well this should cast away any doubts any coach with a bit of nous would give the Panthers a wide berth while GM remains there !!
Nice work who ever has been able to say this guy .

Very good appointment. Interesting with his experience as director of hockey how that'll work with GM. A shock to the system for them both perhaps. Hopefully he can influence all aspects of the club.

Nice appointment! Should have plenty of contacts to bag new players. That along with the lucrative sponsorship deal must surely make you start challenging for silverware again?

On a scale of 1 to 10 on the expectation scale this guy is definitely a 12. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for next season.

Give him a chance he hasn’t worked with him yet . Wonder if they’ve given him a contract longer than a year with a must win trophy hanging over his head. Looks good only time will tell.

Im happy. Just really pleased Panthers have shown some ambition and looked futher afield. Just get Perlini signed and then im happy to let Rich build the sort of team he wants.

Well no matter what happens panthers shouldn’t be accused of lacking ambition or imagination with this appointment. He looks exactly like what most were hoping for

Great stuff, pleased with that. Hopefully an exciting roster, and hockey to match.

Really happy with this. His reputation already adds a lot more credibility to us and the league.

Well from the players he's coached recently it would be great if he could persuade C.J Stretch to come to Panthers

A coach with experience! I'll take that. To go from thinking we were going to get Clarke or Russell to getting an ex-NHL player with vast coaching experience in the DEL.

Just some housekeeping - amended the title and made it a sticky as I imagine it’ll be a hot topic for a while!

We've won the jackpot really when it comes to experience and accomplishments compared to other EIHL teams. On paper he blows away any other coach in this league. Lets just hope this is reflected on the ice

Hopefully old and wise enough to not take any rubbish from above. Fingers crossed. It looks a very good appointment and what Panthers needed. Let’s hope he’s hard nosed, runs a tight ship and cracks down on some of the stuff that’s gone on before. But it’s going to go one of two ways....either very very good or a complete disaster, because i just cannot see this guy putting up with Moran’s nonsense and shenanigans for long.

You'll laugh at this. The team in Frankfurt with whom Chernomaz was associated for many years until his release in December 2017 (so he can't be blamed here) have just lost their play-off semi-final series, courtesy of a 58th-minute goal, to Bietigheim ... who are called the Steelers!
