Will be interesting to see how this plays out this year, with the 2 additional fanbases.

We'll probably end up with block 7 too. Steelers will get 19. Wonder what they'll do with block 1 and whether they'll put that seating on the stage again (although they'll have to replace the plexi if they do this (or sell the tickets at a cheaper price).

Assuming the fanbase isnt too apathetic due to the poor results of late?...
I bet EIHL towers are hoping they havent cooked the golden goose that is the nottingham fanbase otherwise the place will be empty considering the steelers arent the all conquering NHL team that the sheffield faithful expect and we all know they vote with their feet...

That’s what we’re doing. I’m not a fan of watching others win trophies in our barn but the wife and son were up for going but even they decided to give it a miss this year. So I booked a week away starting on that Saturday. No going back now.

So another non attendee for sure.

So another non attendee for sure. Another 2 season ticket holders here not going either. I have completely nil expectations of them getting there, and if they somehow do, I certainly don't have any desire to watch them dump and chase their way into the 3rd place game. The £200 or so it will cost in total will pay nicely for a few days away. Thanks for making that decision easy. We'll decide in the off season whether to renew the season tickets, but if we do it will be more to do with the people around us where we sit than being excited for next season.

Where the heck does the £500 k profit go that is generated from this one weekend ?
I emailed Simmsey once and asked him that. Got a two line reply from Mike O’Connor telling me I had no idea what I was talking about !
Mmmm, let’s see.... 7000 tickets at an average of £80 each, plus spin offs and merchandise, less hiring the arena, equals what ?
I think i do know what I’m talking about !!!

We are not going to get tickets until we know Panthers are playing. Don't want to spend my money any more watching other teams

I tell you what I enjoyed the playoffs the most during the isl years. They were world's better than the rubbish you see now. And I'm sure my weekend pass in the 2000/1 season was only around £40! And look at the standard of players on show

Is the weekend worth going to as a neutral? I've never been before and said this year I would go, but I'm not banking on Panthers being there. What's other people's personal experience of it ?

I'd say once in a while it's worth going as a neutral. But it's just not the same by a country mile when your own team isn't there.

Yes, my lad has been the last two times Panthers didn’t make it and he said he hates not being stressed and caring about the results.

It's a good atmosphere and you'll definitely enjoy it but for me it's not so great that it's worth the price tag to go as a neutral any more. If Panthers are there it's on the borderline of whether I'm willing to pay up.

I'm not going regardless. I've disengaged with this team. See you in September Panthers...

They ll no doubt set off at a blistering pace again until they realise coach Neilson (after he's signed for another 2 years) is a garbage coach and don't want to play for him! Hence wheels falling off

Hence wheels falling off It probably won’t if we still have the same owner, GM and coach. But I can see why some people live in hope at the start of each season. After all this shower did get it right once with regard to the league.
