Is the weekend worth going to as a neutral? I've never been before and said this year I would go, but I'm not banking on Panthers being there. What's other people's personal experience of it ? After 30 odd years of watching panthers at first Wembley and then Manchester and now Nottingham both with the team at the event and not I would categorically say NO its just not worth it to watch one of our rivals and more often than not either Cardiff or Sheffield celebrate another win now in our barn....

Currently I cannot see the Panthers making the Playoff Finals. Given our likely league position and our total inability to contest big matches it's unlikely we’ll beat whoever we play in the quarters, and that’s assuming we qualify for those. Personally I won’t be purchasing Playoff tickets. I’m sick of watching four teams I have nothing invested in.

If the playoff QF were based on today’s table, the matches would be: Cardiff (league leaders) vs Braehead (8th) Belfast (Ehrhardt leaders) vs Guildford (7th) Fife (Gardiner leaders) vs Nottingham (6th) Manchester (Patton leaders) vs Sheffield (3rd)

Three season ticket holders here not going. Too disillusioned.

Hi guys , I am going playoffs again if stars there or not. It's a great weekend. I tried to ask if any of the suites/executive boxes were available for individuals to share it me and my daughter and 10 other like minded individuals. Been told today only boxes etc sold will be for 12 people . I would have thought a wee bit off come and go on a couple boxes for normal working people. Any ideas guys? Anyone wanna chip in the other 10 people ha ha.. Thought sitting with flyers is well makes you feel dirty😆

May be better at POFW but for a normal Panthers game,if I had the choice between a free box or buy my own ticket....I'd buy a ticket. If you do though, take some binoculars because the ice seems miles away. You could always sit with the Panthers fans.

I got some finals tickets this week. From an old friend Cathy who owned them since 1989. Yup, the season winning and first Play-Off Finals in this era. I'll be sending her a little gift in return.

Got mine this morning. Got through at 9.25am and managed to get block 6 Row L for 4 together(Could have got in B or C if I wanted to be that close). Appears at least 2 of blocks in sale straight away instead of filling one before opening the next. I had a choice of 5 or 6 at least.
Regardless of what's happening in Pantherland it's my favourite weekend of the year. Of course I would rather Panthers be there but I'll make the most of it whatever happens. Last year was probably the most enjoyable I can remember(aside Panthers wins) in 15+ years. I think a big part of if you enjoy it regardless comes down to if you like a drink and the party atmosphere in the surrounding pubs. I do so still love the experience. However I can understand that those who just want to go to hockey may find little enjoyment if Panthers aren't there.

I agree with that fully however I hope that the organizers have taken on board the criticisms regarding the overall presentation of the weekend as in have stalls, actual names on the video screen, the regular things that fans have complained about...etc.
It should look and feel special.

An All Star game/Skills competition is not going to happen and the England VS Scotland game didn't have that much more interest either. The thing I was thinking of was maybe some sort of Under 12 game (Nottingham VS Sheffield maybe)

The only enjoyable 3rd/4th game was the year where Cardiff and Sheffield played in it. Through warm up and for the whole game both sets of players completely swizzled around, goalies played as out skaters and it was done as a poke in the eye to the powers that be. The only way the EIHL will ever make anything out of this farce is to put some decent money up for grabs. Hockey players will do anything for some extra cash.

Attendance doesn’t matter for the 3rd/4th place game though, the EIHL wouldn’t care if nobody attended it.... Because they’ve already got your money !

They should use that slot for the finale of a lower league competition (Lions sort of level, or even below), put up a bit of prize money to make them interested (wouldn't need much to be worthwhile for them). Would at least get a competitive game, and they'd get to play in front of a big (biggish) crowd on the main stage.

England Scotland kids and 3rd and 4th place games are not worth missing Sunday lunch for.

They would probably need the best part of a block, which would likely put someone's nose out of joint somewhere.

Can't complain one bit about the view, nothing wrong with the distance either!

I may have read it wrong, but it appears that Play Off seedings are based on the League standings, based on the statement just put out.
It looks like Conference winners do not get the top seeds.
If that is the case, then a top 4 seeding is possible

If that is the case, then a top 4 seeding is possible Unless they've just changed it,the order is... 1. League and Conf winner 2. Conf winner 3. Conf winner 4., 2nd in league But if the team who wins the league doesn't win their conference, then it's... 1.League winner 2. Conf winner 3. Conf winner 4. Conf winner Conf winners are seeded in order based on highest league finishing position.

They have, they've only gone and changed it again mid season because they obviously don't like how something is panning out. Bloody madness, this ridiculous league is so false and fixed its a bloody joke. Don't know why anybody bothers going to this play off farce, this stuff wouldn't happen in an honest well run sport !
