Thought i'd do this for a bit of fun and do my roster for next season
NM: Olivier Roy www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=23121 Always had a good save % only 25 could be a quality net minder for a number of seasons
NM: Sam Gospel. Stop mucking about with Dan Green and reacting to injury cover and get someone whois proving himself with his performances in the EPL. Not just a bench warmer either but capable of covering the no.1. Also an under 23 for one season at least.
D: Dan Spang
D: Steve Lee. He'll be back so there's not much point looking at alterntives
D: Mark Flood www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=10403 Could be the answer to Andrew Hotham at Cardiff as a potential PPG D man. Experienced without being too old and played in big leagues including NHL and KHL
D: Gui Lepine. Needs no explanation
D: Nick Ross www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11099 Another good Offensive D man. In his prime at 28
D:Keith Aulie www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=12561 Looks class stay at home D man, maybe a bit of a stretch though. If Not then maybe Drew Paris www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=19198
C: Corey Locke www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=10314 Top line playmaker, whether he'd come to EIHL after the season he's had but he'll be 33 so a possibility
C: David Pacan www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=38052 Good numbers, played with Brampton Beast so has the David Ling connection
C: Matty Davies. Bring in a Brit who contributes offensively, can play wing too. If not then Jack Prince.
RW: Austin Smith www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=18748 Top line goal scorer. Again maybe a difficult one. Good age and coming off a good season, maybe snapped up by a DEL team or similar. Jordan Smotherman could be an alternative www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11568
RW: Shane Berschbach www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=21592 Great ECHL numbers. Could be someone to build the future around like Steelers did with Roy
RW: Brian McGrattan. If he leaves though maybe Brandon Bollig www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=39199 Not sure if that's a realistic prospect but with big money and maybe an endorsement by McGrattan who knows.
LW: Andrew Kozek www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=12389 Played in DEL and been released. Could be a top line player, can also play centre
LW: Jeff Brown
LW: Robert Farmer
Bringing back Evan Mosey would be great too. Versatile could put him on any forward line and even cover on D
Clarke should wind down his career this year, still has something to offer but with age and injury record should have his ice time limited.
Lachowicz. Gets a lot of stick but i think he does a decent job on the 4th line and he'll most probably be back
Betteridge. Also a good 4th liner. Doesn't put up many points but plays a good physical game
Be interesting to see what people think, like i said it was just a little fun
I bet we sign none of the above
