Has he seen the article about the blackhawks and live broadcasts? I would argue that having your game broadcast live on a national broadcaster is completely different to having a webcast that you have to pay for. I can see how having it on free TV could entice someone new to the sport who perhaps flicks through a channel and notices that there is a game on and watches it, but a webcast is really there to facilitate existing fans who cannot, or don't want to come to live matches.

Oh I know they are miles apart, but there will be some nugget of truth from a Panthers Point of View. looking what Discoray has put, the concept of sold out games being on the webcast doesn't seem too far fetched (a similar concept was used in the NFL Link.) I know Nottingham doesn't sell out often, But if we went with some kind of high-ish percentage (say over 70% with 72hrs notice?) then we have the broadcast on. Webcast's do loose some revenue to home gate receipts, but not dramatically and I bet that the profit made from the webcast itself will generate more cash than the loss. In fact, the games with low away attendance may be the big money spinner for this. the reason Belfast's web cast is doing well? Not everyone can afford the £200+ to go. So Say Belfast and the Scottish games (on the weekend) + any game over 70% with 72hrs notice get a webcast, the rest don't. Perhaps there is bigger reason, the Match Night experience in Nottingham is poor. Improve that, and people will want to go to the games over watching a webcast. But that would cost money...

Well I think you've probably covered every game there as I think the only ones we might possibly get under 70% would be one of the Scottish teams? Now I like webcasts and I wish that the club would do them, but I think people perhaps overestimate just how much money clubs make from them (or perhaps I'm underestimating, who knows). But if clubs were making a lot of money I honestly doubt that they would be stopping some of them. If Sheffield were making 1000's off the web cast I doubt they would be bothered about a few bums on seats or a couple of bars not paying the full wack for the cast.

Ask him how much he'd sell the club for. And what's the compulsory retirement age for club officials.

What's the current status of the London team that was announced last year? It seems to be on hold. The last I heard there were technical problems wrt putting in a rink.

The fans have to ask them. Why are we solely interested in short Cup games? Will the club be offering 'CUP only' ST's next season?

The pain tis that he has (or the "organisation" has) come up with answers before. If what he has said has not been born out, with time now is the opportunity to take him to task. A couple of things I would have put forward - which will might crop up. 1. I have heard the line in the past that if Panthers did use their financial muscle, they could well win the league, but it would not then be a competition. With 2 top 2 finishes since 2003 (?) - this one in the fullness of time does not hold water. 2. Four or Five of the roster have been attracted by university packages - a big incentive. This should have resulted in a really top roster. Was recruitment the problem or has been used to partially offset wages and produce more profit? The last word seems to be a priority with NB. It's far too early for riddles... Iginla has pretty well said it. My view is that it is not too early to put NB on the spot - make the most of the opportunity. Some may say its a vociferous minority who are dissatisfied, but many of the silent majority are unhappy. Explanations for underperformances in the league which have been produced before need to be challenged. We have managed one championship and one second in the league since 2003/4 season and 3 third place finishes. NB can of course point to Cup and play off successes. However these matches are where season ticket holders have to dip into their pockets, while they have to experience some less than satisfactory performances week in and week out. These people I feel are being short changed. When it comes to the cup and play offs they then fork out for another opportunity for NB to cash in again. Full explanation with regard to the first point I raised - Panthers is a very lucrative concern. It generates a huge profit. The line seems to be -NB is concerned that after previous problems with the top tier leagues, teams who cannot afford it don't get caught in a wage war and go bust. Therefore Panthers don't splash out recklessly and cannot be accused of causing a wage spiral and buying the league. OK the league is expanding and looks to have a base for going forwards. We do have a sizeable budget, but don't exactly seem to be breaking the bank, while as I understand it the likes of Steelers will put more money into their 2nd and 3rd lines.

NOTE... Sheffield lose two important games to them. Now they are looking out to ADD to the squad.
THIS meeting has come , I believe, as a knock on effect from the Trust's formation. To heal any wounds caused of recent..

They were probably already looking at players before this weekend, it's just a convenient way for them to appear to be addressing the situation on the back of 2 defeats

No they brought in Hagos then later signed Dman Coyle. Sheffield are about as good as Panthers at making threats and then doing nothing. Thommo threatened changes after we beat em twice at xmas and bugger all has happened. 🙄

Just realised that I sound like I'm making excuses for the owners, I'm really not GM in deguise - I just think these will be easy questions for Neil Black to answer.
I would ask if he considers our league form over the last 10 seasons to be satisfactory, and if not, where does he think the blame for that lies.

Sheffeld have 14 imports plus Sarich on their books. I'm 99% certain Sarich isn't on the books although he's listed. Sheffield have 13 imports, 5 regular British, 2 "kids" and I British back-up goalie.

15 imports including Sarich on last nights game sheet Doug ! Sarich hasn't even dressed for months. I don't know why he's still included. He only played in the Continental Cup as far as I know.

Yes we know Doug. I don't know why he's still included either. Don't worry,we're just pointing out that Sheffield have 14 imports......plus Sarich who doesn't really play anymore. 😉

Which is how he answered the last Q&A we had with him many moons ago. He said GM was in charge with the running of the club and he had very little input. He couldn't answer tho' why at the time GM insisted on all sponsorship money was to be paid in cash with VAT added but no vat receipts were ever given out. He had the gift of the gab and he's planned this very well, just 1hour before a match so there is no chance this will run over . 3 hrs wouldn't be long enough, there's going to be some very disappointed people.
