He shouldn't be as the IIHF will be aware of the signing and could imagine it'd be part of the paperwork to make sure he's registered for us in the super final as long as it's all valid.

A cracking signing and resume, will be class if fully fit and probably the best NHL forward ever to have signed in the EIHL We should have one of these players every season......but from the start though. Don't like the not here until maybe Christmas though,my money is on early January, just in time for the Super final. That being the reason why we've spent the money !!! Looks a great signing on paper, might just be what you need to ignite the team. As for the best ex NHL forward to play in the EIHL, hard to see beyond this guy from 10 years ago... www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=21306

I suppose i should be excited but it's too little too late for me. Neilson has been "thrilled" with most signings but they never seem to achieve what they should do under him.

Too little, too late. One player who won't be here until Christmas isn't enough to sort the shambles that is the Panthers. Stinks of appeasement after the recent debacle.

quality signing, as for NHLers that have signed hes right up there. hope he comes in and really fires up this sorry bunch. think if we have him on a line with nikiforuk they could cause havoc. I was a big fan of Jeff Heerema so the numbers Jeff put up is the minimum i expect from Williams.

looks a great signing, frustrating that we couldn't make a couple of signings like this earlier or press season though, similar to last year though , bring a couple in late , win the cup and all in rosey. id love to see us do well in the cup and continental cup,but another part of me wants us to fail purely to bite GMs backside and get a good side put together next year from the start

Obviously looks a quality signing, but it's made me more angry than anything else.
Firstly, why do we wait until we're out the running until we sign players of this quality? Secondly, it's a completely pointless signing because we're already out of the league race. How bothered should he be about busting a gut in what are effectively 30 odd dead rubber games? Surely save himself for the play offs, which last, what, a couple of weeks?
Just completely frustrating, pointless and just so typically Panthers.

Great signing. Absolute top notch.
However, how many times are we going to have this déjà vu feeling? Out of the league title race by Xmas, then sign the sort of calibre player we should be signing in the first place. Angel Nikolov, Jeff Heerema, Daniel Tkachcuk(sp), Franklin Macdonald, Kevin Quick to name but a few.
Stop taking the wee wee NB/GM as more and more of the longstanding fanbase are starting to see through you.

Just think of the team we could put on the ice if we listed all those guys we have signed just to try and save a season. Typical Panthers mentality. Sign just enough at the start to try make a fist of it,realise too late we aren't good enough, react far too late, then bring in some quality to win a cup and keep the happy clappers cheering !

My suspicion is, he's probably lost a bet or something, and him coming here is possibly part of the punishment. I can't think of another reason why a player of his quality would waste just over 3 MONTHS of his life doing it.

Wonder why He's walked out on Ritten? And could they cup tie him? We always seem to get these great signings who start off with a bang and 4weeks down the line they are playing to the 'system' and are completely unrecognisable. We just seem to erase the hockey out of them.

As a Redwings fan Williams was a steady 2nd/3rd liner . He never held down a regular spot but when he did he produced. If he's got the right attitude and clear of injury he ll do well here ..very well

It's not a pointless exercise as the club are not interested in the league like you say. It's what it is, a guy to bed in for the annual Cup and Play off push....quote Shinobi ' the cups are still up for grabs'. Hard not to be pesimistic and feel that if one guy can turn the team around what on earth had they been doing till now, awaiting some player to come and kick bottoms?

Could be a good signing however a little old and maybe past his before date. The only Moan about league is that to win it now means you bought the best team early and have the funds to countinue to buy thru out the year. As said before only in the U.K. Do you decide a league title without a playoff run

Great resume and I'm happy we've got him but I'm just not excited, and I should be! Everything around the club is flat and disappointing currently, hopefully he can come in, miraculously turn the team round and re-ignite my passion that is very much lacking at the minute. Preferably in time for Boxing Day because I'm not sure I can witness is get trounced again
