Appears Ellie Goulding is going to complain as well, as she was not allowed to use Panthers dressing room the other week either.. Hmmmmmm.......who would be the bigger diva? Goulding or Simms? Tough call

Out of the 2 semi finals this afternoon/evening, I have to say our game was the best (Watched on Prem Sports), 1st semi was well a real eye opener, Devils never showed up, All season they pushed for everything but losing Doucet with possible injury? was the biggest surprise but again they had the players to do the job but didn't show up. Devils were just destroyed in the first and never recovered. Brutton not a bad player and was kinda lucky with his first goal but the others were unlucky on bowns, great saves initially but the rebound bounced over him and had a off night. Stewart unorthodox by a mile but he gets the job done. Although he coincided two quick ones at the end which if Panthers do in the first in the final then he'll start throwing his toys out of the pram. 2nd Semi - One of the best semi finals game I've seen in a long time. Panthers pressured all game and took our goals very well, DC spin flick shot on the PP was really good and something we need to do more off, get Farms and Matt in front and take the goalies eyes from him, Mosey thank lord he's coming back next season but what a great goal for number 4 speed kills and what a great finish, Cam injected energy has normal which led to goal 3. Give credit to Fife though they were simply fantastic on their Defense and was dangerous going forward. It was close even right up to Panthers 4th but they didn't give up one bit. Fife have a fantastic goalie in Brown for Fife simply outstanding with super save on Kolnik in period 1 and a string of other saves deserved MOM tonight. Dingle what a good shooter, his goal reminds me of a goal Jordan Fox scored against Devils a few seasons ago. Miika could have done better but again very strong and gave very little away in rebounds. Final is going to be interesting and we'll see which Panthers turn up, I hope this evenings team turn up, Keys for Panthers tomorrow is get players in front of Stewart and he'll kick off, Let Mosey fly and Cam... Smash Looking forward to Final where we belong, Panthers to win score not sure so only time will tell. WE BELIEVE also having watched the semi finals from the comfort of the living room, agree that Cardiff never really got going. Once the goals started going in, they had no plan B, and missed Doucet's speed. Have to say that Bowns didn't have his best game, he's a good square on shot stopper, but struggles when the puck is bouncing around. The d-men didn't give him much help either. Coventry attack with real speed, which will also cause us problems with our sometimes slow defence. Corey said before SF2 that the key to controlling Fife was to keep them facing the glass, which worked but as was pointed out on the commentary, Fife never committed more than one forward, making it easy for us to manage. In the 3rd they committed more, which worked for a while but left gaps for us to exploit. The key to the final is for us to get the Coventry d men away from the crease area, look for rebounds and get Stewart moving. We also need to keep the Coventry forwards away from our crease, where they do most of the work. Interesting to read on the Devils forum that despite having such a good season, there are comments about Lord having no plan B, no commitment or pride from the players, others not being worth the money spent on them etc. Sound familiar ? All that' missing is criticism of Kelman and the owners !

Well done Panthers.
I thought Blaze were very good, I'd almost go as far as saying the better team lost (certainly a game that could've gone either way), but Panthers' defence was strong and kept the number of quality scoring chances to a minimum and got our goals at good times. Nice finish from Schultz, not entirely sure how Quick's one went in, but they all count the same.
Unbelievable save from Stewart on that Mosey/Kolnik breakout.

I thought Fife and Braehead fans in particular were terrific this weekend - most there for the presentation. Personally I thought the play offs were good, as they were last year and that there are good signs for the sport with a sell out weekend. Further teams to come in also. Of concern is how Caps collapsed during the season and one hopes that they can keep going. There are some promising signs with younger players also, but one tends to think more could be done there. Corey got the tactics absolutely spot on, forechecking and harrying produced a solid 1st period. The D looked solid and obviously survived a lot of pressure in the 2nd with the penalty kills. Mosey should have buried it in the 3rd with a break away, but then he is human. A lot of credit to Coventry and their supporters. The Panthers league form has been disappointing, mainly with regard to consistency. Perhaps at the end of the season, with the extra D men, we almost have got to where we should have been weeks before. Personally I don't think that there are many of the roster whom I wouldn't like to see back. When you look at Belfast they were successful with players returning who knew the league such as Sandrock, Mason, etc. Even Brandon reckoned it took him a bit of time to adjust. If we can get some continuity and add to that core, perhaps we can be cracking the league. I agree that 5th in the league is not good enough, but if as seems likely Corey does return, I would be in favour. Its a competitive league and winning two trophies is a good return. If the league form doesn't improve however I feel NB would have to make changes. Many disappointing performances, but I got fed up of reading the same negative comments every week, instead of waiting until the end of the season to see the outcome. Whatever DS says he would have been crowing if they had been there this weekend.

Watching on premier Panthers were the better team. The Mosey/Kolnik breakout was a fantastic play by Valabik as he intercepted and played it onto Stewart's pad. Maybe ppl will go a bit easier on Neilson now ?

The Diva really got on my nerves at the end - typical GM, every-one else does all the work, and they try to get the limelight - even funnier was his mike not working on the balcony - would be happy to have Cory back next year, and if we have to Moran as well, but keep him in the background, away from the mike etc.

Any mention (after the game)of a man who died the weekend who'd be normally working on the bench.

I'd like to think that if we had lost to FIFE. We'd have supported them in the final. Unlike many of our opponents fans who left in hoards when we won. You've seemingly got to support either those against Panthers or anyone who puts your team out.lol But I would have wished Flyers all the best.

Thought it was a very good Play-off game, could have gone either way and as has previously predicted, the result was due in the main to the Netties, (both getting their respective MON awards) - thought as fans we were awesome and a lot louder than in the past. All-in-all a very entertaining week-end - what the hell do I do now for the next 5 months

Another great weekend. Enjoyed it. There is nowhere else for me. Wembley when and if, but until then there's nowhere better. Nice to meet a few of you who came and said hello. Thank you to my army of sellers, another great effort on the raffles. And last but not least. Congratulations. See you again next year.

Deserved winners over the weekend,i thought the score flattered Blaze to be honest and we could have had another 2 or 3 had it not been for Stewart.
Much like Saturday once we got into our stride we were relentless going forward and we got our rewards.
Weird feeling though i don't seem as excited at winning as in the past...still cant argue with yet another trophy!

Best team won over the weekend, the semi performance was very good, but today's final from Panthers was excellent. Every player played great,a virtually flawless performance apart from a couple of glaring misses on the Blaze net from Moran,Mosey and Clarkey.
Now we know how to build a team, let's hope they learn from it,because had we had that team all season the league title would have been a different story.
Well done Panthers,a great POFW.

Really enjoyable weekend, I've forgotten how great it is to celebrate after winning The Play Offs with the players taking it in turns, taking the trophy towards the fans. I think the best sight was seeing Wiikman, Green and Madalora together in one goal. Also there is nothing like a balcony celebration.
The only negative now is the realisation that the season is now over. To me it's almost surreal walking away from The Arena after The Play Off Final.

Great win, superb performances over the weekend. Let's make every game a cup final next season and win the lot. Very frustrating season when we are capable of that.
