Professional job that, Fife put the effort in but we skated away from them in the end.
Coventry will be a much tougher game.
Oh, and if you're the Panthers supporting idiot who is sat in front of me in the Cov block can you a). Please shut up for one minute during the game or if you insist on talking then b). Not talk utter rubbish, some examples - What's Clarkey doing there on the PP... 5 secs later Clarke scores & we need Cam out there on the PP.
Not a clue, seriously.

But it's about time club management asked us not to ruin a national anthem with that silly ' we hate steers' chant as classless as DS comments. Agreed 101%. It was mildly amusing, maybe, once. Now, its's just pathetic. Agreed. I cringe inside everytime. Its the national anthem... hints in the name, national. Goes above club rivalries. Time and a place.

Recommend to the Fife fans that they ignore Titch's posts..... Better for your sanity. We have a real tough semi against Fife, anyone thinking otherwise hasn't the foggiest about the sport imo. Yeah, I've got no idea about sport. It was the easiest game I've seen Panthers play in a while, Fife didn't turn up and Panthers didn't have to go into second gear. Blaze on the other hand, it's going to be a good game. We'll win though. Best atmosphere at a game I've ever witnessed, can't wait until tomorrow.

You predicted since Feb we could still win the league, others rightly told you we couldn't. You said Cardiff would win today, you got two of the qf's wrong as well. So a 50% ratio there, well done. You're new to this as we know, there's no harm in misguided passion to a point. Maybe you'll learn over time not to be so condescending to the opposition.

While I'm at it, Titch.
Fife didn't turn up? Hilarious comment. Fife put a proper shift in, Wiikman had to make some real good saves out there.
See Cardiff for a team not turning up.

Very good performance by the Panthers with some fabulous goals but Wiikman does look VERY vulnerable on the near post again. The only worry is that for as much as the Devils looked bad the Blaze looked the real deal as far as a playoff team goes. Bruton and Tanaka were excellent. Cam is going to have a very big role to play again tomorrow as they will need to have something to think about over their shoulder in their own zone.

Out of the 2 semi finals this afternoon/evening, I have to say our game was the best (Watched on Prem Sports),
1st semi was well a real eye opener, Devils never showed up, All season they pushed for everything but losing Doucet with possible injury? was the biggest surprise but again they had the players to do the job but didn't show up. Devils were just destroyed in the first and never recovered. Brutton not a bad player and was kinda lucky with his first goal but the others were unlucky on bowns, great saves initially but the rebound bounced over him and had a off night. Stewart unorthodox by a mile but he gets the job done. Although he coincided two quick ones at the end which if Panthers do in the first in the final then he'll start throwing his toys out of the pram.
2nd Semi - One of the best semi finals game I've seen in a long time. Panthers pressured all game and took our goals very well, DC spin flick shot on the PP was really good and something we need to do more off, get Farms and Matt in front and take the goalies eyes from him, Mosey thank lord he's coming back next season but what a great goal for number 4 speed kills and what a great finish, Cam injected energy has normal which led to goal 3. Give credit to Fife though they were simply fantastic on their Defense and was dangerous going forward. It was close even right up to Panthers 4th but they didn't give up one bit. Fife have a fantastic goalie in Brown for Fife simply outstanding with super save on Kolnik in period 1 and a string of other saves deserved MOM tonight. Dingle what a good shooter, his goal reminds me of a goal Jordan Fox scored against Devils a few seasons ago. Miika could have done better but again very strong and gave very little away in rebounds.
Final is going to be interesting and we'll see which Panthers turn up, I hope this evenings team turn up, Keys for Panthers tomorrow is get players in front of Stewart and he'll kick off, Let Mosey fly and Cam... Smash
Looking forward to Final where we belong, Panthers to win score not sure so only time will tell.
WE BELIEVE

I don't think simmsy was necessarily having a go at panthers, more the league.
I have to agree that top seeds get the best dressing room and it works its way down the seedings, not because it's our venue we get first pick, it should all be neutral.
He also said that Nottingham was the best venue for the play offs to be held and long may it continue.

So are there 4 changing rooms in the NIC? If it's a case of all 4 teams got a different one, and we took the best, then I agree that that shouldn't have happened.

thats how I understood it, but, like I said it wasn't a dig at panthers, more the league for allowing it to happen.
It came about because they were talking about improving little things to make the league better and attract the better players.

Panthers own & paid for the panthers locker room, it's nothing to do With he nic, Hense why last year it was not used as its panthers not he arena. So makes no difference. Cardiff had our old dressing room Fife had the usual away one & Coventry had the last one.

And I'm married to Eva Mendez, won the lotto and I'm currently the front runner for PM. Seriously mate get a grip, Fife were brilliant tonight especially Brown. We just took our chances, they should be very proud of the effort they put in and of their season.

Cardiff VS Coventry wasn't what most of us was expecting. Full credit to The Blaze for that one. Cale Tanaka showed what a good player he is (That was a very good goal he scored) Cardiff fans are a very forgiving bunch. What a farce it was when the last remaining Devils and Blaze players refused to leave the ice at the end of Warm-Up. So glad that the announcer mocked them for it, even though they should have received some sort of Penalties for it.
Panthers put in a fantastic performance, granted it was nervy when it was 0-0 and 2-1 Panthers but they got the job done. Very good well taken goals that they scored, they certainly hassled The Flyers and got the chances. Cam Janssen's open ice hit on The Flyer who got knocked down was awesome as was his checks when The Flyers were pressuring after they scored was very much needed too. Brad Moran's goal came at the right time as it really dented Fife's confidence after it went in. Evan Mosey's goal, what can you say. Thought that we should have had a Penalty Shot or Penalty, when Fife's Goal was knocked of it's moorings, when The Puck was trickling towards the line. Panther's fans were extremely noisy, it certainly helps having your team there.
Panthers VS Blaze is certainly going to be in interesting one as I believe that they are 2 very similar teams. While The Blaze have been impressive in The Play-Offs, remember their Quarter Final wasn't a comprehensive victory, Sheffield got to them, Panthers have the firepower to get to them as well. Tanaka, Noble and Quinelle need to be dealt with early one. Need to rattle Brian Stewart early as well. Officiating is key as well, this will likely to be niggly, so be consistent with the calls.
We can do this so come on.

Yeah, fair enough on the league, I'll accept that, put that down to not realising how inconsistent a team can actually be in Ice Hockey, Cardiff showing that tonight. If Fife turned up, as you say, that shows how easy it actually was. The Fife fans I were talking to after the game were all utterly swizzled off as they said "If we can't get pumped up for a game like this, what game can we get pumped up for? We just didn't turn up at all", maybe it's just my condescending ways but I'm straight up and honest and knew we would walk into the final. Moving on... Looking forward to cheering the boys on to a win against the Blaze!

I'm pretty sure the dressing rooms are kitted out well before the games are played. Fife had pictures up of theirs before the first semi had been played. So I'm guessing Nottingham kept their usual dressing room and Cardiff had to go to another one. Nottingham fully deserved the win, Fife just didn't really show up. But if we're going to pretend it's a neutral venue, don't play Panthers songs during the game. There are millions of songs that could be played. I can only assume that 4 rooms are used. Home, Away.....co cert stars room and that broom cupboard he's on about....if so Elite need to sort it out (the situation ', not the cupboard)....so DS must be stating Cardiff into Home, Panthers into Away Fife into Stars and you know who into the other. Impossible to move kit out quickly I can only assume between games 1 and 2. Which golf course is Sheffield allowed onto? We can stay in Cardiff's vacated room for today I gather then....lol DS clearly bemoaned that WE would not let OUR dressing room go though.

In interview on Premier.Big complaint by Dave Simms that the seedlings should be respected. - that Nottingham want their dressing room "because its ours " and that's not right -........is this right? Are we not seeded over Fife? Or did we refuse to give up our dressing room whatever? I presume panthers will pay extra rent to the NIC on top of ice time for that changing room and have heavily remodeled the room in that time so no one will be allowed to use that changing room even if panthers were there or not. The other changing rooms are not up to much but no different to any other team in this country all be it some are a bit on the small side

Sorry dont know how to quote a section instead of the whole quote
John Casey This isnt a dig just not sure where you were watching the match so may of had a different angle from me. The goal where the net got knocked off with the puck going towards it, the puck to me had nowhere near enough momentum to make it passed the line which is why I believe the penalty wasnt given. This seemed to be the indication from the linesmen.
Again not saying I'm right, just saying what I believe I saw.
Can i just check a rule as well please in the coventry cardiff match when they pulled the netminder on the penalty but didnt replace at the end of the penalty, do you need to wait for a break in play to reinstate the netminder, i assumed as being a live player you could swop back in play?

From where I was, It looked liked Cam (I believe) was going to tap The Puck in and knocking the goal of it's moorings prevented that. The Panthers players didn't argue so it was wishful thinking on my part.
Really excellent intro video for The Final.
It would be nice if the player's names were actually shown on the video screen as well as the team logo's (Make it look a big deal)

Appears Ellie Goulding is going to complain as well, as she was not allowed to use Panthers dressing room the other week either..
