Tonight The Bunkers Hill are hosting an NHL tournament and our very own Ant is having a go so a couple of us have decided to head down there to have a good laugh... I mean lend some moral support and also do an #AskTCW podcast so get your pre-POFW questions in for us to discuss!

The TCW Panthers Fan Survey 2018 is now available here: goo.gl/forms/8hDFNX72jyxjpNKX2 . We'd really appreciate it if you would spend a couple of minutes to help us get a picture of the mood of the #PanthersNation . Thank you. Remember, the more responses we get the better picture we will be able to provide to the Panthers of what their customer base really thinks.

Question for this Team GB Special:
What TV Channel would you prefer the World Championships to be on:
BBC, where if we lose heavily regularly, we run the risk of turning any new viewers off Ice Hockey or Freeports, which did a really good job of presenting Division 1A but has less viewers but are ones that are more understanding if the results don't go our way.

Maybe the BBC might follow it up from the relegation round. Not being rude here about the situation but it might focus more on games we'd compete in more. If covered by the BBC, of the better viewing figures perhaps 'some' new fans is better than being frightened off bt the losses we might have. Freesports are due custom from us (thanks to them for this years coverage) but it still is a limited populous.

There is no relegation round any more... 16 teams in 2 groups of 8, 7 games for each team. The bottom team of each group gets relegated - that's it.

If anyone has anymore GB related questions for our #AskTCW special with Chris Ellis tonight, please let us know. Question for Chris Ellis... Normally it's only a couple of weeks between the Play-Offs Finals Weekend and Division One of the Worlds - short training camp, couple of warm-up games, bang, done. But the top level takes place in May... 4-6 weeks after the POFW. Do you envisage a longer training camp with multiple warm-up games (some maybe not in the UK?) and if so... do you think there's likely to be any coverage of those? (Chris Ellis' European Tour? )

How do the two groups of 8 get drawn,is it a complete random draw? Usually seems like it’s a bit of a seeded thing where both groups seem to be pretty even if it’s a truly random out of a bag job.

No, it's judged on IIHF rankings (whether from before or after this year's tournaments, I don't know). I believe that GB will therefore be seeded last, despite having qualified with gold to Italy's silver, because they are ranked a few places higher. As such, the group we are in will be against teams ranked 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13 (I think!).

I see thanks. We may not get Canada or USA then.
That would be a shame.
