Long time Panthers fan Ian Braisby writes about what the priorities are now for the players, coaches & management of Panthers in a new TCW article t.co/KjQqe1WlcyDecent article and it’s true you can’t break up the bond between these players, none of them deserve to be released. However and especially with the injuries the team have had why can’t the coaches add a couple of new players to the roster ? For one it would potentially lighten the players mood and secondly allow some much needed rest for certain players. The Panthers have lost Johnson and Bjorklund and replaced them with Farley and Despres plus Hazeldine which financially looks like a pretty even money swop to me therefore the management can’t play the finance card. To ask this set of players to keep doing what they’re doing without any extra on ice help is not fair on them and it’s also not fair on the fans either.

Long time Panthers fan Ian Braisby writes about what the priorities are now for the players, coaches & management of Panthers in a new TCW article t.co/KjQqe1WlcyI’ve read this from Facebook links already, and whilst I agree with what is being said, I think fans want extra bodies rather than those we have being shown the door. If you talk about supporting our squad, that includes giving them a breather / taking them out of the firing line. Injuries are playing a part now, as well as potential suspensions- and you are asking an already struggling squad to carry even more responsibility. 7 defeats in a row is not going to be good for morale in any dressing room and they need help. Not from supporters shouting louder in support or getting on their backs either. If there is budget, the best way of supporting the team is to back them with extra players. We can only speculate as to what’s happening behind the scenes. Hopefully steps are being taken in that respect to source decent additions- either short term or in addition to the roster. I

I This is exactly as i see it, personally i am not calling for sackings but it has been obvious since the incident that there is a need for reinforcementS i.e. several more players not replacements THAT IS DOWN TO THE MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP and noone else. Imho they did the right thing after the event but when it comes to spending money they have shown a lack of support for the team, the players and the fans...

Unprecedented times because of the tragedy yes and everyone fully appreciates and understands why it would be extremely tough for all concerned. BUT take out the Adam Johnson tragedy for a moment and as far as on ice results go and the managements attitude towards doing something to rectify things, this is pretty much a replica of each of the last few seasons.

Paul Balm has returned to article writing after publishing his book. This very well written and considered piece looks at the current situation looking backwards and forwards and about how the club and fans get out of it. t.co/ufloskQ6PU

The latest article on TCW is written by Adam Reddish, who takes a deep delve into his on personal relationship with the Panthers after the events of this season. It's a very deep and emotional piece of writing but also uplifting and positive. It's well worth a few minutes of your time. thecatswhiskersonline.com/a-significant-shift
