Tickets booked. Although I've had to bribe the Missus with Ikea first. Looks like 50%+ of blocks 7 and 8 are already gone.

Let's hope traipsing around Ikea is the low point of your day Kiev.

While I still maintain that Coventry are favourites, if we can have a 1st period like they did yesterday, I wonder if they will be able to come back?
I am also wondering why they are having the 2nd leg at home, this is an incredible advantage (One that we have earned but have given away) From what I can tell, The Arena is available today therefore Coventry should have had the 1st leg either Friday or yesterday, With us playing the 2nd leg today.
Hopefully the expectation and pressure will get to Coventry and they choke but I doubt it.

Saturday night = bigger crowd and better support to encourage the team.
Whilst I know they need a lot of encouragement at the moment, it's not just about selling more tickets.

Saturday night = bigger crowd and better support to encourage the team. Whilst I know they need a lot of encouragement at the moment, it's not just about selling more tickets. But as the original post said, the biggest advantage is playing the home leg second. Whichever way you look at it, we gave that up. I would've been there on a Sunday afternoon or midweek, as would thousands of others. You only have to look at the 2nd leg of last seasons cup final. At home. Midweek. Full house. Great atmosphere. Result. I'm sure we've played a recent play off quarter final 2nd leg at home midweek too? Either against Fife or Braehead?

Money before result is the only reason we played Saturday and gave up,the second leg. Both of Mr Blacks teams have done it this year,Sheffield and Cardiff didn't.....that says a lot.
Quite honestly,it's taking the wee wee giving up home advantage, one day just one day the dumb ass Panthers management might actually wake up !!!!!!! The crowd support last night was poor,4700 Panthers fans got out shouted/supported by 250 Blaze fans !
Tonight they will out shout us again.

Lets be honest and have a reality check, theres no way Panthers will win tonight with Modig in goal, what will happen is Coventry will get one early Modig will wander out moaning then his head will go. Panthers need to score at least 4 tonight to have half a chance even then it may go to OT . That will make it 2 years of watching absolute dross . HOW LONG ARE THE PANTHERS MANAGEMENT GOING TO ACCEPT THIS !! any other team things would get put right after ONE poo poo season !!!

Amazing turnaround on the season for Coventry with a new coach and motivation from Ryan O'Marra.

Ryan O'marra is one of the top players in the league, just as I said he would be seven months ago, along with Roy,Fretter,Sawada,Keith and Hotham. Some people said huh cv's .....they mean nothing !
Hope our new coach takes note for next year !!!!

Blaze have had 2 very poor seasons in a row first appointing a rookie in soderstrom, then making a big mistake with lefebvre, they finally got the right man in chuck weber and he's turned our fortunes around I hope he's still here next year, but there'll be better teams headhunting him

Just as a point of interest on that home advantage thing, a lot of Clan fans were annoyed we'd seem to have given that up too, and for you guys it's 2 years on the trot. I checked nearly 20 other leagues in Europe to see how they scheduled their Play-Offs, most do a best of 5 or 7 series. Denmark is actually very interesting in that the top 3 seeds actually get to choose who they play in the 1st round. 1st seed can pick any of the other 7 qualifiers, 2nd then picks from 6 etc. Anywho all of the Leagues plus the EPL managed to arrange all their ties with the correct home advantage, the EIHL was the only one that couldn't. (Or wouldn't!) I guess that's one way to make us stand out from the rest of Europe!
