It hasn t taken Sqeelers long to go crying off to the DOPS ..... Fitzgerald gets 2 game ban !!!! Fully deserved too.
If you want to be derogatory Pidge, learn to spell......

Ban seems fair to me, and would presumably have been automatically reviewed. At least DOPS get on with it, and the bans aren't too harsh.
Don't think I've ever seen the aggressor penalty called over here before.

Not derogatory at all, so true, a fanbase crying ... that same fan base who offered to pay the fine of someone who tried to behead a player some years a go. But what do you expect when the owner of the said league team ... is league chairman... only in the UK / Elite league !

Bois' debut has ended like this: Although how Fitzgerald gets a misconduct for being challenged to a scrap beats me. He wasn't challenged to a fight!! Bois was ordered NOT to fight and was holding Fitzgerald, who punched him...twice. Without reply. By then Bois was concussed and could do very little to avoid being floored. How do you know Bois was ordered not to fight? Were you in the dressing room, or have Steelers started doing a webcast of them now? The DOPS just doesn't work for me. When the Sheffield owner is league chairman, the former Sheffield commentator is the "voice of the DOPS" and Sheffield seem to get the better of every single decision, you can't help but ask questions about it all. And to top it all, none of the other owners seem to know who the DOPS are (Kelman tweeted as much didn't he?) but Sheffield apparently have said they're a couple of Europeans - it all just stinks to me. It seems that it's Sheffield's turn to win the league this season, come what may. I have to say though, I've got absolutely no sympathy for Clan and their fans on this after the massive over-reaction they had to Henley going after Frank last season, which was nowhere near as bad as this. They wanted Henley pretty much thrown out the league for sticking up for his team-mate whilst Frank was happy to be aggressive until Henley came along, at which point he didn't want to know.

Ordered not to fight yet he gets tied up with the opposition fighter drops his gloves and swings twice. Yet he was ordered not to fight. Give me a break. A 2 game ban for that is also ridicoulous. Fans also think we need a fighter ? I'd rather not with bans like this being handed out.

Bois was ordered NOT to fight I'd say you're correct on this. My question for you, was he ordered to get punched silly instead?

It will be Sheffield's turn to win the league as they probably have the best team. Just like you had when you won it!!

What did Bois think was going to happen to him ?
Somebody should tell him that going into a scrum and pulling out one of the oppositions tough guys is not a very smart move unless you want to get punched. Especially when the guy you pick is Fitzgerald who seems to be a bit of a loose cannon !

Shame Bois will miss a few games with concussion. Unless of course it's the Belfast kind.

Smith called this suspension. Bois grabs Fitzgerald and seperates themselves from the pack of players and indicates by looking to drop his gloves that he wants to fight. Fitzgerald obliges and KO's him. If you want to dance you had better be prepared for it. Total bull call by the so called DOPS. Wonder if they(DOPS) have actually played the game.Suspension only benifits Cardiff who play their next.

How is he looking to drop his gloves? He's been hit a couple of times before they're off. Pairing off isn't an indication of willingness.
Perhaps not unreasonably, continuing to punch someone in the head when they're not in a position to defend themselves is frowned upon these days.
If that's Rob Farmer getting laid out we're furious on here.

Notice Bois flick his hands with his gloves on he at that time is squared off Fitz hits hime and he comes back with a overhand punch at Fitz seems willing to me just not a good fighter. Braeheads loss, Squeelers loss, panthers gain

I'm assuming you know for a fact it was Tony Smith that ordered the suspension as maybe you ought to be able to back up your claims.........

Whilst I'm sure the line about Smith calling this suspension is incorrect, it does open the league up to these kind of accusations. Having an owner of one of the teams as the league chairman is ludicrous. Can you imagine the outcry in Sheffield if Neil Black was appointed? That, to me, is what makes a mockery of the league.

I believe in the early days he was. I do know that at one point the offical office for the EIHL was a "rented" desk in one of NB's offices.

This league needs a proper chairman and leadership team to be taken seriously, people who will hold teams to account with any wrong doing without any ulterior motives.

Same as 1 owner shouldn't be allowed to own 2 clubs (if rumors are to be believed then 3 soon) While the board is made up of the Chairman of the EIHL teams (and others, for some reason i think Milton Keynes have a seat for some reason) is equally an issue. until the EIHL is a separate entity of all the clubs it will always be a back water of hockey held back by short term greed.
