Sorry Shorty but i am going to be sensible again. I can watch the likes of Steelers 10 times a season, a lot of the games boring - over hyped or i can watch some of the best teams in europe once. Hard choice, plus the CHL games are cheaper But i will see Hamburg twice. BOOM. As a Steeler, I'd agree - I'd rather watch CHL too! I had hoped these fixtures would have created a lot more interest, and I bought my tickets early (yes I am coming down to support you lot) as I thought at least the season ticket holders would want to come, and fans from other teams would be attracted in too. Should be two of the best teams on these shores in recent history - or three if you count the 'import heavy' CHL version of the Panthers too. I'm hoping you (we) and sneak a surprise, which would reward your ownership team for the investment they have put in, and put the EIHL and GB in a good light too. Hope you don't mind a few Orange shirts in and amongst you - just this time obviously. It's good to read this, Disguised (not Simmsy, are you?). Whilst the CHL is massively exciting for us in Nottingham, it is also important that on behalf of British hockey we are putting our toe in the water so to speak, and raising awareness in Europe, even if only a little, that we have some good teams and arenas here. Hopefully our participation will lead to more Britain/Europe involvements and I hope supporters of other teams see it the way you do. Cheers.

Even if we lose all 6 games if we can make an impression with the European hierarchy it can only be of benefit to the EIHL. It would've been better had Belfast got the spot as reigning champions (and thus us in the Conti Cup) but this is a fantastic opportunity for us.

I'm looking at buying tickets to the games at the moment and I can see the arena is nowhere near full.
This puts me off going to the games massively. Especially when it's being shown on TV.
I wonder if others have the same feeling. If the tickets were selling well, I'd definitely be buying some.

If virtually free to go and going is always so much better than watching on TV.

I agree, going is certainly better than tv. But I do prefer a game when there's a live game when there's an atmosphere. A 2 hour round trip for me and £30 on tix for a potentially flat atmosphere is not pulling me in at the moment.

Especially as Premier Sports has the coverage, on previous evidence, its been the worst sports ive seen in years and years of watching sports events on vaious different networks, you can tell its cheap based on the eihl coverage im hoping, they are investing using a lot more cameras at all games, i know theres going to be goal video evidence etc in the CHL so it could be a lot better.
Anyway as a wildcard, the organisers will be keeping a close eye on how we fair, (along with the french and italian team) as our performances could have a impact on if a EIHL team gets a wildcard into the tournement in future years, if we were to get heavily beaten in all 6 games, i wouldn t expect us back in it, unless we qualified by rights and moved up the rankings into the top 50 and thats unlikely lol

However many cameras they've got, PS is still standard def isn't it?
To me, these are very likely to be the 3 best hockey teams we'll see at the NIC for a good while, if people have an interest in the sport at all, and particularly in the Panthers, I struggle to see why you wouldn't want to be there to witness it?

I think they want to know where these virtually free tickets are being sold.

While ultimately its up to you I would presume that the majority of people who don't have season tickets buy on the week of the game. Seeing as this is a non-season ticket game I would hope that a lot of tickets would be sold over the next week. Also nothing beats seeing the game live, especially when the other option is a poor quality tv channel. This is possibly a once in a life-time opportunity to see us in competitive games against top European competition, I wouldn't miss is personally.

I suppose 40 quid is virtually free if you're completely minted. But I certainly wouldn't class 40 quid as virtually free. It's 2-3 quid cheaper per game. That's only if you can attend all the games and if you go to the games on your own!

Not trying to be pedantic but that is quite far from being virtually free whichever way you look at it. Yes it is good value, if you have the money.

Last season I was thinking should I go to the 2nd leg cup final (5-2 down) or to the playoff game with the clan, I picked the clan game and ended up with the DVD and egg on my face, so for me ticket in hand, and this is no disrespect to the other conference team, but seeing the same teams again and again is a bit of a no no, give me the CHL anytime.

The challenge cup games which aren't on the season ticket will be the game so don't go to this season. CHL (even if we lose all) games should be much better value for money and far more entertaining.

Anybody who isn't going to watch these games live needs their heads looking at.
Remember the Riga game last year........it was the best game of the season by several country miles !

£40 for 3 champions league games is great value. If you're struggling to afford this you should probably not go to any hockey games and save your money for more important things. I'm looking forward to this, should be much better than the elite league.

Looks like they have brought the curtains down for most blocks bar 4-6 & 14-16. Shame they have had to do it but at least if we get 3,500-4,000 it will seem packed. Hopefully will make it a much better atmosphere as well

Seems this agent doesn't seem to agree with Panthers inclusion. Not sure why?
