I think its rather strange that they let the assistant coach go to Coventry, if they new DC would be at the club much longer, unless of course they believed both of them were not doing the right job. Im curious to see who will be bench coach on Tuesday night, but with them carrying a spare import, I guess it will be them. Where's Neil Abel now? We've never stopped anybody moving to better themselves, be that a player or a coach. So we wouldn't stand in the way of Furby making that step up. Anyway it seems it was Doug's decision to allow him to speak to Coventry, he says as much in one of his last interviews. As for Neil Abel, he's been working all year with Doug and Furby compiling scouting reports and helping in training. I'd imagine he'll be on the bench helping Goertzen over the coming games.

I think Andrew may just have scored an own goal - Coventry a step up from Shuff, I'll agree with that, anything is a step up from them

At a good club , in a position as such he has earning a crust and with the wife employed....why would Strachan move anywhere? To be fair, why would we want him?? He seems to have a done a decent job counteracting Nielson's run and gun style over the last few years. But when he was head coach at Hull, they were as dull as dishwater to watch. Nielson and Strachan compliment each other perfectly. Strachan on his own, not for me. Absolutely correct. He was terrible in Hull!
