I see that Noel Gallagher has added extra dates to his tour and he is at the Motorpoint arena on the 19th Feb. This therefore now means that our match against them will be have to be moved, I assume this will be either a) played in Ice Sheffield or b) moved to a mid week match.
Pretty poor that they have not announced anything re this fixture yet, and I cannot imagine they would want to host this in Ice Sheffield and lose the revenue this match will generate.

Its been suggested in another thread Leo, that they are looking at Friday availability at the Arena. I agree with you tho, it's disappointing it has not been announced by both clubs+eihl before now - and removed from all fixture lists.

They haven't announced anything as there isn't anything to announce yet.
They want to move it to a Saturday (not looking at a Friday, that was what I thought,) and are working to achieve that. However, personally I do think it will end up being a Friday, probably 17th Feb.
I can tell you now though that the game will NOT be held at Ice Sheffield

Anyone heard anything about a new date for this one? Wow, same wavelength ... i tweeted simsey only half an hour ago to see if he could update on this. No reply as yet, but he usually does. We have all our Saturdays alreadty tied up except 9th March, which i don't think would suit either team (would give us 3 on the bounce and sheffield 4 on the bounce. As Helen suggests Fri 17th Feb seems a decent fit if the arena is available.

Having looked at our fixtures it won't be 17th Feb, as we play on 16th and 18th already. 9th March is a Friday and again we're playing on 8th and 10th, so that's out.

I bet it wont be moved to a Friday and be a Sky game though. Sheffield would lose a shed load of revenue it was shown live.

17th Feb on SKy would be nice for most of us... (ok not shuff) Being on sky it would save us the bother of travelling to sheffield, likewise some of the Steelers fans wouldn't bother either.. Sheffield being shown up on Sky by the Panthers, as they have been so far this season. (maybe as long as Carson isn't reffing) Sheffield won't arrive back from playing Dundee the night before until the early hours... It seems an ideal date to me, Sheffield used to playing 3 games in 3 days anyway, as have already done twice this season, and are I think due to do so twice more this season.... I had best e-mail Sheff, the league & sky to sort it out...

I think to save any problems just give the panthers the 2points. Saves any messing about then

Depends how accomodating we, clans and rays want to be.

... and steelers still have a Fife fixture to pull in somewhere at home - guess that is a good candidate for ice sheffield.

That Braehead fixture on the 10th March has only just been arranged, and we have no ice on the 19th Feb, so how can we swap the matches around.

How about 5-0, and at the same time give us the missing point from our game with London Knights......... And a 10 point deduction to Sheffield for failing to fulfill their fixtures.

From Panthers Os today ....
"And we can tell you that Nottingham officials were today pushing for an answer on the outstanding fixture AT Sheffield which has been caused by the Steelers losing the ice on Sunday February 19th......an answer has been promised in the next few days."

I think with interest that point against the London Knights is now enough for us to win the league with. Wasn't it the Racers anyway?

I do hope we go out of our way to be as awkward and unacomodating as possible towards Sheffield on this one.
