Far be it from me to defend Them Up The M1, but how is this different from any other match rescheduling... as has happened to us in the past? They've been stiffed by their arena (as have we in the past) and now have to scramble around to find another suitable evening. Which gets harder the later in the season it is... None of which means I don't hope that this turns out to be a real ball-ache for them... Mind you, it's probably the only way we'll get another win against you I like your thinking, Helen...

This seems to happen a lot. The Clan have been pushed from pillar to post this season between tennis, wrestling and the odd concert! Shame if people have made arrangements to travel to these games is advance..in some cases a lot of money is lost!

From Panthers Os today .... "And we can tell you that Nottingham officials were today pushing for an answer on the outstanding fixture AT Sheffield which has been caused by the Steelers losing the ice on Sunday February 19th......an answer has been promised in the next few days." Some note made in the match prog recently also, to suggest that Sheffield need to give out info a.s.a.p.

i just hope the game is after we play them at home, i want to see King thrown out when he loses his dummy over his treatment with Fox in the last game.
and there is no way i'm payng ticket money over to the steelers organisation to see it at their place

Well from rumours I heard, the 50/50 prize isn't exactly what it says on the tin..

Nothing wrong with doing that, i grant you but they purchased a large lump of tickets for the games over xmas. It could be a vicious lie and I have no way of proving OR disproving it just a rumour I have heard.

Having thought about this its not a bad idea for certain games. I would imagine that they would not have to dish out free tickets for the Panthers game. 100 free tickets at £16 a throw or, put that money on to the 50-50 prize fund. The prize fund is then bigger, and more people would be inclined to buy tickets.

On OS now, this has been arranged to Tues 14th Feb (Valentines day). Bad news for Steelers it not being a weekend, and likely doubly so that it clashes with the VDay?

theres only 2 days outta the year where my girlfriend comes before hockey - her birthday, which is July so I get away with that and Vday. And a tuesday night Panthers vs Steelers game? What a stupid idea - losing money hand over fist there.

not ideal for us is it, havng to play all our toughest games and potential big points games (if we are in with any sniff of the league by this ponit) in 8 days.

It was 9 days, so not a big difference there, but it does mean we play Shuff on a Tuesday after Sat+Sun at home to the Giants. Shuff meanwhile play Blaze home then away on previous w/e. Tougher for us I think, but not enough that it can be an excuse.

Well from rumours I heard, the 50/50 prize isn't exactly what it says on the tin.. I am sure there are some pretty strict rules regarding gambling in this country. Althought i did see a 12 year old buy abouy 10 50/50 tickets the other week, so maybe these rules don't apply in the Elite league??

I'm gutted as there is no way I will be driving up from London midweek to watch this match..... If it had been a Friday it would have been fine, but midweek matches are out of the question.
