Bring on the "oh we dont care about the challenge cup speech" although i remember a familiar one at the start saying we're going out and challenging for all silverware.

Ah well, 4-4 wasn;t a bad score. We have a lot of league games to catch up on, we can do without the extra trip to Belfast. Anyway, we all know it's a Mickey Mouse Trophy

typical reaction from our "controversial steeler", but lets not gloat too much they are still on the same points as us with 4 games in hand....

Congratulation Panthers you never fail to disappoint the Steelers with your classy comments. It takes so little to make you happy. Its so sad to be that desperate! Well done to the Cardiff Devils!

After watching the round up on Sky this evening, I would say that Sheffield need every game they can get at home - the rink looked empty against Fife. I was shocked at how many empty seats were there and that was in the lower stands! I dred to think how bad it was in the upper tiers.

Try not to worry too much about the Steelers attendance I am sure we will be fine. Perhaps it may be better to focus on your attempt to win the league for a change. Merry Christmas Folk!

Because of course all comments from the family about the Panthers are positve and respectable.....What was it their nasty little announcer called us at the end of last season?

To be fair we haven't won it since the last Superleague season, and in the grand scheme of things I'd rather we concentrated on the league, especially with the fixture congestion we already have, these games would have only added to it.

I would have liked to see them get through, just to add more fixtures in to the mix for them.
Is this the same semi final line up as last season?

I was shocked at how many empty seats were there and that was in the lower stands! I dred to think how bad it was in the upper tiers. The attendance against Fife was one of out lowest of the season at the arena. Still the same as you got against Braehead on Tuesday. It's a less attractive fixture, but the people that didn't go missed a fairly decent game, especially in the last 10 minutes when we DeCaro decided to make it interesting. I can refer you to the Sheffield attendances thread, if you like, we are averaging over 4300 a game at the arena, hardly bad, hugely up on previous years which have been averaging in the low-mid 3000s. We're doing better this year than previously, and expecting well over 7000 on Monday, but I won't let facts get in the way of what you're saying. Finally - people in Sheffield tend to sit higher up, maybe it's because the plexi is awful, personally it's so I can see everything that happens on the ice.

Do we know what the Semi-Final fixtures will be? I can't seem to find anywhere that explains whether it's the same conference teams (i.e. us against Cardiff and Belfast v Braehead) or something else?
I think I'd rather we played Braehead than Cardiff, but either way as long as we don't have to deal with Belfast til the final will be good.

I believe that it's winner of one group against runner-up of the other group... so the semi-finals would be us vs Braehead and Belfast vs Cardiff.

Who cares, the only time I care about poopfield, is when they are playing us.
Thery're out the cup, so, one less team to beat. Who's next? Oh yes, the purple steelers, seek and destroy!
Sheffield can suck a fat one.

We play away on 14th Jan in a cup/league game, and at home the following night in a cup only game.

It's not the end of the world...the league title is the most important and we've got a horrendous fixture schedule already...two more 3 games back to back.
What's the obsession with our attendances though? People need to remember that the arena is significantly bigger than the NIC. If you were to put your crowds into the arena it would look very sparse...the Fife crowd was similar to your Braehead game the other day...is that the end of the world?
