Intresting to see Hutchins and Brent Hughes in the squad but well done to Lacho who also puts himself into conetention. Also intresting to note Steve Lee wasn't included in a squad that was announnced today - unless he knew about his injury before he named the squad?

Well done to Lacho for making the list. He is a player who has really improved this season. Lovely to see Danny, Matt, Marc and David on the list but if Stevie did not have his injury I think he would be on there. Well done to the Panthers men

Nothing against young Murdy, but it obviously does no harm to be a back-up nettie at the Blaze!

Press release says Steve Lee has got sugary scheduled for straight after the end of the EIHL season. Sweet Seriously, though bad luck on Stevie. Would have thought he'd be a definite starter otherwise. On the NM situation - have I missed something here, wasn't Lehmann in the last few squads?

The fact that Lehmann was even considered is a joke, I said it at the time and stand by it. He'll never play for GB again, unless he's based here. Thommo sold Murphy and the rest of the true brits out with that selection.
Hutchins and Hughes, please. yes, cut the import limit there is plenty of British talent out there. not!
Who GB playing in this tournament?

We have a tough group. The other one is far better to be in. Because the 2nd and third of each group in Division one(A and B) and the relegated team from the top flight play out in a league ABOVE the bottom crew + promoted team (from division 2) next year....as opposed to the usual horizontal two leagues being side by side in the whole division one set up.Does that make sence? Same goes for the other divisions below ours. In other words the Divison one set up is being split. The best will be part of the second tier and the rest will be part of the third.
So it's vital we finish in the top three.

The goalie situation is intresting - I think it shows the lack of faith in Elite League back up's that they'd rather take an EPL goalie than Dan Green and Woolhouse.

Bowns has been outstanding this year. Deserves a shot. Most talented british nettie around.

Most talented, not best. He will be starter in a few years if he builds on that talent tho.

Who GB playing in this tournament? We're in a tough group this year... Ukraine (hosts), Kazakhstan, Estonia, Lithuania & Poland. The goalie situation is intresting - I think it shows the lack of faith in Elite League back up's that they'd rather take an EPL goalie than Dan Green and Woolhouse. Actually, I disagree. Ben Bowns has been getting regular ice time... he's surely going to be the first choice to replace Murphy if needs be. Craze is the more traditional backup... and Murdy must surely be the reserve - I can only assume that Thommo owes his mum money or something. But Lehman played last year did he not? Why is he thus not in the squad now, I have missed this. No, Lehman only played in Poland 2009... he was not selected for GB last year.

Better to keep playing with the Steeldogs on a regular basis for the time being.

Shaggy, Opps yer, a quick look at my stats once I got home shows that Lehman was 2009 and 2010 had Murphy/lyle and Craze in goal on the team. All the stats in the new book will be at the Play-Offs...the pic of you is about page 107.Just in for proof check at the moment.Any offers to get it omitted....

I think Bowns is too good for the EPL and playing against the lower end teams in the EIHL and training with the panthers will improve him alot

I think Bowns is too good for the EPL and playing against the lower end teams in the EIHL and training with the panthers will improve him alot Given the Panthers' regularly repeated under-achievement against the 'lower end teams in the EIHL' Bill, and the consequential catastrophic effect these performances have on our chances of winning the League title, I seriously doubt that Bowns, or any other back-up British nettie, no matter how much potential they have, would be started in any circumstances other than injury or (I wish!) when the League title had already been secured. Yes, they may get the nod when we're winning by a hatful, but other than that ... Perhaps a 2-way contract with an EPL side is the answer, as IMHO a player will only improve with regular match practice.

I have nothing with which to bribe you... but just look at it this way - if all your customer base die from ruptured innards due to severe projectile vomiting, you'll never be able to sell the book after this one!
