Hellfire 5 past 10 and it's still not finished. I'm glad I'm not there.

Lost on penalty shots, having lost a 4-1 third period lead. Mmm, do I bother going to Skydome tomorrow or not?

was a quality game
next week we will have no problems disposing of steelers given a half decent ref
we are much the better team 5 on 5 4 on 4 5on 4 etc pretty much everything just the poorer team on penalty shots.
oh and shmyr won his fight, looks like he is a fighter after all steelers fans

Who was the ref incidentally? Could someone give me the full SP for Clouthier-Shmyr please?...basically blow by blow if available Crowder

No excuse for losing a 4-1 lead, Panthers have got to sort their ideas out or it's going to be yet another mid-table season.
Can't believe i missed the game of the season though. I blame Sunny. We've lost every game since he made that stupid thread.

I suppose we aught to have learnt by now we are not going to win anything with the standard of refs we have available in this league. Tonight we totally out played and out fought the Steelers at every turn, that was until Mr Carson’s allegiance was questioned. I have no doubt why the Steelers have been such a force in British ice hockey for so long.

what happened to mcaslan anyone know?! what a cracking game! you can always rely on steelers v panthers for entertainment although i have to say, when steelers were down 4-1 not much cheering from block 3?! Tessier did nothing for them, sutter is a panthers reject! The lads worked their socks of tonight and hats off to matt myers because he was brilliant. Also jody lehmann was ofcourse, again, a great netminder. you can't knock him for that! carson didn't have too bad of a game either! But for me, panthers took the victory just from how they played! Great game, roll on next weekend!

Great Match!!!! Unlucky to lose but wot was Ellis thinking given myers a pen shot ???Also any1 see a reason carson gave them two penalty shots? Should of won instead of blowing a 4-1 lead and if we expect to get past Steelers in the Challenge Cup then improvement is needed i think.
!SHMYR OWNS ALL! ;D

Tonight we totally out played and out fought the Steelers at every turn, that was until Mr Carson?s allegiance was questioned. I have no doubt why the Steelers have been such a force in British ice hockey for so long. Oh come on Mike....I thought the Panthers had ( allegedly) dealt with Uncle Andy at league level, following the infamous Autumn 2001 match at the HOS (where he was diabolical and I said as much on Kendra Hourd's 'Girl in a 22 Shirt' forum) I've seen Carson praised to the hilt on here for his handling of Panthers-Steelers derbies since...so what's the deal? He can't be the only reason you gave up a 4-1 lead...we did something similar against the Giants recently and just for once Steelers couldn't hang all the blame on Hanson (unusual I do appreciate) Crowder

Way to throw a match Panthers!!
I'm annoyed more than anything because for the first two periods I thought we played some of the best hockey of the season. We didn't play badly in the third period either but never should have let Steelers back into it. I don't think you can blame Carson - we had more than enough 5 on 3 powerplay chances in the third period to bury the match and couldn't take any of them. A real case of one point lost but still an absolutley cracking game.

Good match probobly the best this season, and as for the score it doesn't bother me too much I'm just glad Ellis' talks worked out!

The refs are bad but they're bad for everyone, someone has to win the league...
