The glitches with the EIHL website seem to have transferred to IHUK site. It's important to get the facts right. www.icehockeyuk.co.uk/gameday-preview-czechia-v-great-britain-2/The home side did not play two games versus Finland and lose 2-1 in the second. EDIT: Now corrected to Switzerland, so better effort than EIHL site.

I’m into an Austrian win tonight and keep their interests for qualification and then play Norway. We beat Norway too and ‘bobs your uncle’.

On the website it says he's COO. He was in a business development role last season and now has changed. Alistair is Marketing and Comms Lisa is Groups, Fan Liaison and Community Nicola is Commercial and Sponsorship Not sure they are all doing the same job - sounds to me like he could be over them. Not a bad thing surely? Certainly seems to me to be a lot of cross over areas there and what Goody is saying now is exactly what Pacha was saying a couple of years ago. If I was Pacha I’d be nervously looking over my shoulder. Perhaps the Fan Liason officer had been given the boot?

You know what I don’t like. When GB are struggling against better opposition. You know what I don’t like even more. When we play well against better opposition and we don’t get the deserved rub, not talking about skates though…. lol.Well done v Denmark. Keep strong and don’t upset those refs.

Heard this a while back and couldn't say of course. Hoping a new sponsor may help to furnish us with enough dosh to keep recruitment on track as 'awooga' says.

I assume if we beat a team on the same points as us by the end of the round robin of games, that the winner of the game between sides takes precedence?

AUT come from 6-1 down in the third period against CAN to tie the game and force overtime. CAN win it 15 seconds into the extra period, but AUT take a point and reduce their goal difference, neither of which helps us. Starting to feel like we might need to at least get a point from the SUI game now with NOR also getting a win on the board now That would be extremely hard. Think a win over Norway or Austria is about the best we could do.

They always find a way to balls it up, it's quite a talent really. The only positive for me is that we’re playing Sheffield less That's true. No mention of the final, I assume that'll still be the usual best team gets to play it at home? I'd rather they went back to the two legged tie. Don’t assume anything. More likely the organisers will add something new part way through the competition to muck it up further. Puts to bed the 11 team league, boy that would be one Cup format to look forward to from them.

The most important thing is to get a bloody smile out of Bedard. Does he ever smile, the stuck up piece of …….. Why does it make him stuck up, didn’t realise you knew him so well to pass that judgement! Imagine he smiled and celebrated goals against the lower teams he’d be accused of taking the mick. He just seems to be going about his business, his job is scoring goals and making plays, maybe he’s just trying to remain humble whilst he does it. Ok delete the last sentence. He’s a pro and whatever age it’s weird.

That is outstanding editing. Take a bow. Not been edited, just dropped his notes and forgot to put it all back together.

UPDATED stats and standings from WC in GB section (part 16) ..

I will be updating the stats (copy of IIHF page) and Standings (again from IIHF) at the end of each set of games. This will be on the 'Fixtures thread' so you can (as an alternative) jump to it on the CF rather than go to the IIHF site. Makes good reading as Norway are on the bottom of our group. Otherwise didn't we do well today. No issues with the reffing as they let things go at times but I swear we were took out when attacking their goal but no interference and thus no PP but O,Connor picked up twice. I had a picture from the TV showing a few stats but can't load it up here. They were team comparisons Expected goals GB 1.12 v CAN 5.85 Puck control GB 12.34 v CAN 19.24 Offensive zone time GB 2.43 v CAN 9.12 FO % GB 42.3 v CAN 57.7 Distance covered GB70.70km v CAN 73.05km Pass % GB 74 (197/265) v CAN 84 (379/450) Offensive blue line crossings GB 72v CAN 104

I'd like to say that I don't care what score lines we have against the big boys, as long as we don't go down. But I do and hopefully we present ourselves well as before. However, if taking down Austria/Norway is needed, let's do it. Denmark have a mare of a game. Other results go our way. Not asking for much.

Problem is I wanted to subscribe today and only present customers to Viaplay can continue with viewing till later on in the month. New subscribers have to go via premier sports.
Even from the emails advertising it and urging me to subscribe to see WC Ice Hockey are not showing any hockey 'up coming' on premier sports....is this the situation because the first game starts at 7.15pm? Football etc all showing what's coming up today/tomorrow but not a joy of hockey bar NHL. What have I done wrong here?
I want to see it on my TV....so of the four choices I picked prime rather than sky/virgin or streaming services. I assume streaming only puts it on your PC/phone/ipad. And they do say a smart TV that I have is sufficient.
Can anyone help explain for me? Cheers

HHmmm With the appointment of the very liked Kevin Moore to Coventry. This throws more connotations into it all. After just one year as an assistant coach would have been very risky giving him the coaching job at Nottingham. At some point even Nottingham fans will run out of patience and that would heap a stupid amount of pressure on someone’s first coaching job. Oh I'm not taking any sides, choosing the coach myself or such as I'm no one with ESP. But this has added extra spice for social media, fan chat et all. Makes the season a tad more interesting.

Will be interesting to see how he does, and whether we've missed a trick. Good luck to him. Yup, If he does better than Stewart, fireworks. This will cause eruptions somewhere. Both coaches will be vying to win games between each other. What came first, the Coventry appointment or Nottingham's and I'm not talking about press releases. Who approached who etc..
