Yep, agreed with the above post. Could be much worse. Least we are picking up points, even when we lose.
Well done lads, good effort. Well done Hull, (last seasons Newcastle???)

We've still taken at least one point from every game so far. Of course it's disappointing when we lose, but I'm sure Coach Ellis and the team will have learned a lot from Hull's game this evening. Next time we'll be better prepared. And on our own ice...

Not the end of the world, but blowing a 2-0 lead on the road is still disappointing. Oh well, still got a point which is better than a kick in the goolies

Just had a text from my mate up in Hull. He said Clarke won his fight, Rees has a fight with Rizk, and now Rizk is injured. Matt Myers cost us the game by being greedy and then giving up the puck, for them to go on and score. He also said we played pretty bad. Well if we can play bad away from home and still come away with a point, i'll be happy.

Lindsay takes his second MoM award for the weekend...
Hull MoM is Kevin Young, who put away the game-winning goal

Win your home games and average a point a game on the road is the recipe for a league title, always has been and always will be.
It's a shame to lose in OT tonight but like others have said picking up points when we lose is not a bad habit to get into and realistically we aren't going to win every game. Fair play to Hull, shame for the Panthers but we're still top and moving along nicely, we just need to keep it up.

Good game, suprised we won because we didnt play well at all. You guys played with alot of intensity and forechecked well. Bielik came up big.
No Stingrays players came up as having great games apart from Bielik. Burgess did well with two helpers as did Schollar, and Kevin Young did well to finish off the win.
For the Panthers McAslan and Neilson looked very good and they have a better group of players than the Rays. Very suprised how bad Stevens was, is he still injured?
Clarke v Schollar. Win for Clarke marginally, werent many clear punches thrown.
Well done to the Panthers fans, there were a hell of alot and they gave alot of support to their team.

Gutted with the loss, though its a team thing I cant help thinking if Myers hadnt been so puck greedy we could have bagged the OT winner just before them. Oh well thats the way it goes. Good game, enjoyed it. Hull fans are even quieter than the sheffield lot though! Beilik was great. His glove/bellyflops were funny to watch. Gostingrays said, im not really sure how we managed to lose that. We were outplaying them by miles. Rees' fight with Rizk wasnt really a fight. Rees just pushed him to the boards... no mean feat when he was towering over Rees! Apparently he injured his shoulder when he fell

just got back, unlucky not to win it, their keeper did well with the glove hand. Won the fifty fifty but nothing like a panthers pay out. How can they have a winning amount of £62.50 when it's £1 a ticket?

Where on earth does Played pretty bad? come from Their netminder played a big part in this result.

Back from the game and disappointed to have let a 2 goal lead go but taking nothing away from the Stingrays they dug deep and deserved their win. We looked absolutely knackered midway through the 3rd and seemed to be struggling so I was happy to get a point.
Although I say disappointed with the score it was nothing in comparison to my disappointment in the Hull fans that sat behind the goal. An absolute disgrace to the Stingrays organisation. Their abuse of the Panthers fans was totally unacceptable. Dicusting language and personal remarks made by them would have seen them immediately ejected from any other stadium in this league. They had no understanding of the game and directed their frustration at us by simly being abusive. Its a shame when they have such a hard working very capable team on the ice that they have to be associated with such scum!

I understand what shorty meant when he said 'new coventry' now I didn't like the look of that couple, and they really shouldn't go insulting people like they did. I'm glad they got kicked out because their behaviour should not be tolerated in our sport. Must admit I enjoyed myself tonight, I was nervous about going to a Panthers 'road' game because I wasn't sure how I would be received but of the people I spoke my nerves were calmed. Anyway ftr: 105 pics and 2 videos tonight, and my team weren't even playing

Lets not tarnish all their fans though - it's a minority - as per most arenas/rinks

Sadly Helen they didn't get kicked out only moved and she still couldn't resist another bout of verbal diarrhoea when we were leaving!

Yeah were not all like that eh Shaggy TBH its the first time Ive seen anyone being ejected for a while the last one was when someone had a go at mark Williams from Chelmsford while he was in the sin bin (shouted so loud his false tooth fell out!) As for the game, cracking end to end game which was played at a fast pace, ooks like Rizk is out for a bit as he dislocated his shoulder when he landed he had Rees land on him during the fight, the medics popped it back in , but hes gone to Hospital for an X Ray One of the best attendances weve had for years tonight, the reason the 50/50 is low is that a lot of people buy the shirt raffle tickets

Im sorry you experienced that. What block were these people in? Someone said that they didnt have much knowledge of the game so Im assuming theyre not regulars, either way sorry you had to experience that as your fans were great, was amazed by how many came across. Theyre not real fans just idiots and 99% of the Stingrays fans arent like this.
