Those on Virgin will now be able to get sky’s red button programming on your Virgin box. Virgin will also have rights to sky’s main channels for the rest of the decade and will be able to show some of it on Virgin’s internet site and VOD service.
Virgin have sold Virgin 1, Bravo, Challenge and Living to sky. The biggie there for sky is Virgin 1 because that gives sky another Freeview channel.

Yeah, I know I'm behind the times... but I've finally got started on Burn Notice (well, I'm half-way through Season 2 now actually!) - and I'm a convert. I thoroughly recommend it... good humour, good action, well thought out. A few glaring erros in some of the technical stuff here and there (possibly more, but I'm no expert!) but what the hell. I like it.

Did only watch this is england 86? If anyones not heard its a 4 part series set 3 years after the film "This is England" and has the same cast as before. The film was fnatastic and the first episode, to me, builds up to what should be a good series

Yeah I enjoyed England 86, real nostalgia and funny like most Shane Meadows stuff. I couldn't remember what happened at the end of the actual film though.

They are making an American version of Shameless. Who the hell is going to play Frank Gallagher? I vote for Al Pacino or Larry David. LOL!

i used to go to the same school (and then college) with the guy who gave shaun a slap round the 'girl with the nice tits' house. and my school was the location of the fight scene where shaun gets beaten up for wearing flares/his dead dad at the start of the film. yeah, im practically famous.
i enjoyed it, but what the hell is going on with Woody's hair?

also, after reading the comic i am eagerly anticipating the screen version of 'The Walking Dead'.
it starts very similar to '28 days later' but dont let that put you off. Rick Grimes, a small town sheriff, wakes up from a coma after being shot to the world in ruins. he sets off in search of his wife and son but rather than this be your typical zombie movie about survival and thwacking zombies in the head to kill them (which there is plenty of), if it is anything like the comic it is more a commentary on how people change under pressure, how they react to certain circumstance and how they revert back to primal instincts.
the trailer is up, it is not really suitable for this place, but if you search 'the walking dead trailer' you can see 4 and a half minutes of of zombie heaven! it looks so amazing and it looks as though it stays extremely close to the source material (which is excellent).
its got a good cast for the most part, Tyrone (known in the show as T-bone for some reason, perhaps its because it sounds more ghetto) looks nothing like his character, in his face or bodyshape, but all actors were approved by kirkman (the writer of the comics). the guy who plays Rick Grimes may be a familiar face, he played Egg in This life and Simon in Teachers, Andrew Lincoln. its got the director from the green mile and the shawshank redemption and the producers behind the terminator and aliens.
its got a good team and the blessing of kirkman, the trailer is awesome and it is shaping up to be rather good i'd say. as with other shows i have suggested, i hope you enjoy this too. premiers in the states on halloween.

The Walking Dead does look very good, but I am a bit of a sucker for those films/series.
What will be a bit difficult is trying to think of Andrew Lincoln as the Sheriff and not as a teacher (although I cant believe that was 7 years ago)

i enjoyed it, but what the hell is going on with Woody's hair? Going for the Paul Weller look. I really enjoyed This is England and This is England 86. I've met Shane Meadows a few times top bloke the guy has so many ideas its unreal.

With this is england 86 I have high expectations simply because he is that good shane meadows I am refering too. I am also been watching law and order: special victims unit - I'm only 11 seasons late but I've found it to keep me coming baclbut I am yet to find someone else who watches it! It is on the hallmark channel and sporadically on 5 at odd times. Basically it is based on a branch the new york PD who specialise with sex crimes and it can IMO get quite hard hitting at times due to what the focus of the show is. It has dealt with race and religion issues. Season 1 is on hallmark (channel 130 on sky and 150 plus 1) at 8 pm weekdays and season 11 is on at 9 pm monday for 2 episodes!

It's nice to get the favourites back, but I'd rather it wasn't all in one go. From having virtually nothing (Burn Notice and the lightweight fluff that are Eureka and Warehouse 13) to the veritable horde that are the CSIs (all 3), NCIS, House, Castle, Chuck, Bones, Fringe, Stargate Universe, Sanctuary and then Caprica shortly afterwards! It's a bit of a swing too far the other way, I think. I'd much rather they were spread out a bit more around the year.

did anyone see this is england 86.
i found it an interesting watch but like the movie if someone said to me whats it about? what happens i'd struggle to tell them.
bunch of friends lives over a week or so, load of domestic violence, and loads of slow sad montages to sad music.
don't know if i liked it or not.

This is England 86' was the type of drama that was last made in 1986. Very good, if a little bleek at times. Very well shot. Would never had made the screen if not for Shane Meadows fame, very typical of his work. I enjoyed it. Cant wait for this is England 96'

Meadows has chatted about how it'll revolve around the rave, ecstacy and mess-up of the early 90's. Should be ace.
