I like the new intro accsept When the players skate out there is no introduction only with them saying there name after they are out onto the ice. I like a few of the new music but not all of it

Not that bothered about the music either way, but one thing I do so dearly miss is Time to Go by the Dropkick Murphys when our lads skate out! Always got me in the mood for beer+hockey, certainly in my mind God's 2 greatest inventions!

For my two penneth, I don't think it's a question of not liking change - it's about not liking the music. However, it is difficult to have a selection that will please everyone.
Whatever the choice, it needs to make an impact and rise above any noise that the audience make and make a noise when the audience doesn't. It needs to be lively and create an atmosphere that gets the audience going. Then, once they are going, it needs to keep them up there.
The audience chanting and the music need to work together to create the atmosphere that we like and want.
Some of the new stuff does this, some of it doesn't and likewise with some of the old stuff too.
I also feel that there could be far more choice with no need to play a tune more than once or twice a night unless it's a signature tune for a goal etc. (Then we want to hear it far more often.)
From where we are in block 9, the start is almost inaudible and just does not do it for me.
That is where the other half of the problem lies. The sound system, for an Internationally acclaimed concert stadium, is just not good enough.
The announcements are very difficult to make out during the intervals let alone during the match and it doesn't help by sometimes leaving the music on in the background.
I and others have already spoken with "The Management" and they are looking into the problems but the more people that tell them may well help them sort it out. Talk to them the next time you are down there. Tell them where you sit and what it is like sound wise.
If this is sorted out, then everything might sound that much better for all.

Does anybody know the title of the music just before the players come onto the ice. I think it was used in the Old Spice advert years ago, for those who can remember.
It's the opera style music

Is it used on the Omen too? I've not been yet, but going next week. Disappointed to see we've got rid of brainbug. I liked the tune they used to come out to as well. It was a theme to a film and it's bugging me now cos I can't remember!

Is it used on the Omen too? Yes, and has also been Ozzy Osbourne's intro for many, many years.

I think the new music is great. It sooo beats "If yout happy when you know it clapp your hands!" Like the players are really gonna get going to that??
Anyone been to North America to see an NHL game? the place is rockin, I went to San Jose a few years back, even when they came out for the warm up, the crowd was going mental to Metallica. Has anyone asked the players what they like, I think that would be a way forward.

The leafs come out (or at least, used to) to Enter Sandman. It sounds great. I guess the new selection is more rock? That gets my vote. Have they got rid of the dreadful Status Quo yet? It makes me cringe whenever I hear Rockin' All over the world (i know i'm a kill joy)
