All I want is brainbug back, its not panthers without brainbug. All the rest is pretty good but WE WANT BRAINBUG! Please please please bring back Brainbug "nightmare" its just not the same without it . All other music was OK nothing special though. AGREED!! If they played Brainbug at the start I wouldn't care what else they did over the PA during the game. I don't tend to pay much attention to it anyway, except for goal and penalty announcements.

I'm sorry but brainbug was awful. It was boring and more importantly it didn't get the crowd going. Like Ted said earlier, it was more of a song than just an intro. Now with the arena going the darkest I think I have ever seen it last night, I was expecting 'O Fortuna' (the song that Paws eventually came out to) to be played right there. Instead, the cheerleaders had that 5 minute thing that they did whilst the banner was being holsted (I very much hope that this was just a one off thing due to the banner being raised). Other than that, everything was fine. Enjoyed our intro. Yeah ok, wasn't the best intro, but it was certainly better than the limp one we've had for the seasons previous. And playing Welcome to the Jungle just after the national anthem was wicked also.
Give it time. You'll all adjust to it eventually

Yeh I thought that about oh fortuna, Brianbug adds effect to a presentation, the pregame music/show is a presentation. Going totally dark was cool tho

Brainbug was not just a song and i believe it did get the crowd excited. If they are going to replace it fair enough but not with what we heard last night please. What was it anyway??? I only made out a snippet of Belinda Carlisle "we want the same thing" which was awful. BRING BACK BRAINBUG

Music - yep, bring back Brainbug's Nightmare - truly awful without it, all that clapping on the intro stuff, can't cope with it....is it to get us to clap and cheer? Also it was impossible for me to identify the new players during the warm up - no jersey no's - not even hidden under the armpits as before . Also if you are going to introduce the players as they come out as they skate round, how about a spotlight on them or call out the name AND number, just the name isn't an introduction if you can't identify them actual Mind you, the hockey game was ok by me so perhaps I shouldn't complain . But bring back Brainbug...please!!!

Bring back the organ! With you on that one! The organ was a perfect complement to noisy fans. Now we've been a pretty quiet bunch in recent years, so it might not have seemed worth it - but the fans have started to make noise again (largely due to the efforts of the Pandas - well done lads, keep it up!) and the organ could help to feed that even more, I think. It seemed to me that (like some times last season) the DJ turned the music down at the beginning because the fans started chanting... that's good, that's working WITH the fans. Bringing an organ back might seem like an old-fashioned backward step - but I think it could help to boost things even more. Get the music and the fans working together, feeding off each other. As for the music overall last night... can't really make any judgements, because I just couldn't hear it properly. Having "Welcome To THe Jungle" back again wasn't half bad, though. Brainbug? - was never a fan of it, myself....

No to Brainbug.
Welcome to the Jungle, very good.
I'm already sick of An Innocent Man.
Definitely bring back the organ. Proper hockey music.

I sat in Block 4 last night and although the sound system kept cutting out again(a guy behind me got the tech staff in to sort it) I got a better listen to the intro music and I really liked it!
I love the "gimme some good lovin"track!!!
Anyone know who sings that version as it doesn`t sound like the original by the Spencer Davis Group?

Sixteen years ago gents. Sixteen years. Here you go. ClickyIt was a single way back when, so some of you kidz will be able to download it, or whatever you do to get your choons these days.

Something's definitely wrong with the sound system, I swear... that's two games now that I've been unable to tell what the music is when the team comes out at the start of the game, nor the music being played as they skate off at the end of the game. Yes, I know there's all sorts of noise going on at the same time - but that's little different from previous years, and the music was as clear as a bell then.

The problem I'm having with the sound system is a bit different. Have they changed the start of period buzzer? The one that sounds a minute or two before the period starts? I know there is still a buzzer as I've been told there is but it just doesn't seem as noticeable. I used to be able to hear it from the concourse but in both the home games so far I've missed a couple of minutes of play after the breaks because there's no apparent sign that the game is restarting. The number of people at the back of block 14/15 after the first break on Saturday would imply I'm not the only one.
