Dont go & see 'Bronson' it's poo poo. Tries to turn a gritty, dirty story into an arty farty flick - VERY dissapointing.

Really want to see Know1ng, that looks good I implore you and anyone else reading this not to go and see this film. Ever. This along with 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' are both the most mind numbingly awful films I have seen in years, if not decades. Rubbish story, terrible script, woeful acting (when was the last time Cage did a good film - in fact, how many good films has he done - I can think of Con Air and er - that's about it?!) - basically 2 hours of my life wasted on each film. I will concede that both films had some really great special effects, unfortunately the films are so dreadful that they are wasted as lots of people will steer clear and not get to see em. Why do studios pump money into such garbage? I dread to think how much it cost to make - actually garbage is too kind a word to descirbe either film. Looking forward to State of Play next. Then it's off into the annual joyous film fest of May!

I can't stand Cage either. He's been in some films with great special effects though, some of them are years ahead of their time. I'm still amazed by how they made him look and sound exactly like John Travolta and vice-verse.

Not to mention the top acting from both of them to impersonate the other. I do love Face Off though - so that can go on the list, making a total of 2 quality Cage films then. Have heard Leaving Las Vegas is good but not seen it so can't say myself. There must be some more good films he's done than Con Air and Face Off surely?

Cage can't pick a good film every time, but he's done some class films. Leaving Las Vegas was brill, Raising Arizona, Adaptation and Red Rock West. Some of them older films, but he's got talent.

I wouldn't say Cage has talent, not acting talent in any case. He has been in some good films, but I think those films were good despite the fact that Cage was in them rather than because he was in them. I think most (if not all) films with Cage in could well have been better if Cage wasn't in them. All IMO of course.

So we are well into blockbuster season - what has everyone seen and how did you rate em? For me I loved [glow=red,2,300]Wolverine[/glow] some annoying plot holes but a good, fun action pic, some great effects and as a fan of the X men films I had feared I'd be disapponted but no - Jackman is great. - 7/10 I can't do a fair appraisal of[glow=red,2,300]Star Trek[/glow] as I had a migraine after 20 mins - believe me - if there's anywhere you don't want to be when a migraine strikes, it is in a packed cinema facing a huge screen of bright flashing explosions and surround sound!!! I hope to see it again though and did enjoy the bits I did watch - especially any with 'Sylar' in! Thought the casting was great - more than doffed its cap to the original cast. 6/10 Saw [glow=red,2,300]Transformers[/glow] today and it rocked! (Possibly better than the 1st one!!!) Has everything you want (if you're looking for high brow intellectual stuff, then this is not the film you are looking for...). Everyone is raving about the forest fight scene, but it's not a patch on Egypt scenes!!! Starscream is still a snivelling wretch and still my fave though I do love the new twins. Was horrified to see that the Witwicky's have a new dog - called Frankie Amusing that the director is such a big head he had to reference his own films in the posters on Sam's wall at college (Bad Boys 2, Cloverfields etc). Apparently he's not doing the next film though - worrying. Really good, fun film, storyline is ok, effects and sound are great, some annoying camera work that really detracted from some of the big battle scenes, but still gets 8.5/10 Still want to see Night at Museum 2 and Angels and Demons - and looking forward to the new Johnny Depp film. And Harry Potter!!! Dontcha just love this time of year for films?

anyone with an ounce of sense will rejoice that Bay may not be doing the next Transformers movie. godamn, the first was trash, i havent high hopes for the second (as some friends who are well into movies, trashy aswell as intellectual oneshave walked out halfway through) but i'll most certainly give it a go.
it cant be any more 'dawsons creek' than the first one, can it?
in other news, ive just watched drag me to hell. i pretty much poo poo my pants. poo poo my pants on a number of occasions. and when i say number i mean about 12 times. and ive been grossed out 4 or 5 times. Sam Raimi has not lost his touch for the scares, the gross's and the comedy. thoroughly enjoyable but scarey/laughable experience.
oh and anyone who says they saw the ending coming? well it's pretty obvious, isnt it? its not like working out who Kayser soze is, is it?

Saying Cage is rubbish is a popular but lazy attitude. Too many people say it who don't actually know much about movies.
For everyone's sake, I've made a list of some of Cage's best movies. Wild At Heart is awesome. Some of the others are pleasantly watchable.
Wild At Heart 8MM The Rock Face Off City of Angels Matchstick Men Leaving Las Vegas Raising Arizona Family Man (cheesy but good)
Most are from the 90s when movies were really good!
