Was the right banner photograph unpublishable? Very good though Jono, you should sell that banner image on t-shirts, mugs etc, Cafepress stylee or whatever it's called.

A slightly different sort of article, about when a group of us lived the dream and played pond hockey in Nottingham on Christmas Eve. Living the Dream

I spoke to Patrick Smyth from the Belfast Giants unofficial podcast 'A View From The Bridge' about Panthers, the Elite League and TCW. Well worth a listen. TCW talks to AVFTB

I have no problem with the decision itself... just with the hypocrisy of the Belfast fans (and others) who have slagged the Panthers off in the past for having a spare import, and are now saying that there's absolutely nothing wrong with it now that it's their team doing it. Just like the hypocrites amongst their ranks who have niggled us about alleged overspending for years... but oh no, THEY aren't doing that now, how could anyone possibly think such a thing?

Sadly I have to announce that Greg Mitchell will no longer be writing for The Cat's Whiskers after this week. Greg has e-mailed me today saying that he wants to stop doing his 'Getting Angry' column, I have tried to persuede him to continue but his mind his made up. I have received Greg's final column and this will be published on TCW this evening.
I would personally like to thank Greg for all his efforts. Whether you agreed or disagreed with him, his columns often caused some good debate and I will be very sorry to see him go.

He will be missed by me! His individual style was refreshing to read.
You need someone to be blatantly objective, rather than be sycophantic about the Panthers Org. May have been uncomfortable reading for some including me now and then, but he was always honest with his comments.

Always a good read in my opinion. More honesty in Greg's column than a season's worth of The Eye, aka Gary Moran's propaganda rag.

How an old YouTube video of Panthers in 1988 left me feeling sad when I really wanted to feel differently The Good Old Days?
