I'm not sure about well-reasoned, it just looks like another rant for rantings sake to me. It was fairly amusing for a while but now there's not much happening I'm not sure why he bothers or why Jono publishes (?) it. I can't speak for Greg but I publish it because I enjoy it and looking at the Blog stats and awful lot of other people do too. Too true jono keep up the good work |

Laughable. Bob's spent about 50% of his blog railing on Marc Twaite about expecting Bob's Sheffield Steelers to be liable for a contract Twaite had with a previous incarnation, now he has a go at Ragan for what's more or less the same thing.

Sometimes, it's better to be a Panthers fan. No politics in the background (that we know of!) no players coming out and saying theyve been mistreated or are unhappy (that we know of once again!).
We get players actually thanking us for their time here and, as Corey stated, ex players (Brenden Cook) reccomending players to join us. It says alot for how the club is run and the reputation we hold. It's a shame the leagues isn't as such a high standard.

If that is the contract and the rest of the pages match up and it's valid, no clauses etc, Globke is going to be entitles to a decent pay off. Isn't he? why isn't he persuing that?
After a quick google It looks ropey for both Steelers and Bob if he is publicly publishing Employee contracts. I expect the league to turn a blind eye like normal.

An update on the above.
Bob Phillips has responded to the article on Hockileaks and left the same post as a comment to the original article linked above.
The link to the article was posted on Steeltalk earlier (not by me) but later deleted by the moderator. The truth obviously hurts!

Not just the screw-ups... but it's interesting that he keeps banging on about how X,Y and Z are hiding this or that, deceiving people, etc... all of this after the endless smokescreens regarding how he allegedly wasn't running anything, it was all his wife...  And now he's re-inventing himself as some kind of crusader, valiantly fighting The Forces Of Evil (TM) from within the league during his time as a club owner... funny how not a peep was heard from him then, isn't it? Interesting how he recently claims that he, Paddy O'Connor, Neil Morris and Scott Neil were all on the righteous side... all three of them spoke out about perceived wrongs while inside the system - how come he didn't do the same? Looks to me like he's just trying to hitch a ride on their bandwagon... Some of what he's coming out with on his blog might even be true... who knows? The problem is - we simply cannot trust a word this man says. At all. |

I'm finding Phillips words rather dull uninspiring, uncreative. He (Bob Phillips) needs to grow a pair accept that his time with the Steelers off the ice was a failure. It makes you more of a man to accept when you're wrong, but more of coward when you start dragging other people into your failed mess.

Although, maybe not so much... after all, BP was one of the owners as well - and was therefore complicit in anything that went off at that time. He didn't do or say anything about it at the time - so he's hardly likely to do so now, you'd have thought - not and incriminate himself as well. Sniping from the sidelines seems to be much more his style. |
