Nice review. Kowalski deserves a mention (and then some) for his contribution, not least his penalty save.

Fantastic read, I was there all over again it brought tears to my eyes, I sat and watched the final again last night from Sky after the Bellamy gig and I cried again but this time I was sober. What fantastic memories. Thanks to all for making it a weekend to remember.

I have been on away trips with the GB squad and can remember when the squod and management were not too happy with his non attendance (didn't show up) one particular year. This was the point doing the rounds. With the understanding that WE the fans are never to understand the full story. It however was a fact that he was letting the team down. Maybe now he is not able to gain a place it's a case of envey?

Who needs Charlie Sheen, eh?
Let's face it Nicky was never the sharpest tool in the box, just the biggest with the shiniest cheeks.

Even when the occasion rose where he was making a decent play, we couldn't bring ourselves to shout out "Come on Chinny". Lots of folks wouldn't even speak his name.

I find it somewhat ironic that Nicky Chinn is daring to criticise another player when talking about GB, as Chinn himself hasn't exactly got much to crow about in that particular area IIRC.
You'd have to ask someone who has been watching GB longer than myself for the exact details (I've only been following them since 2002) but I remember some of the veteran GB fans taking the mick out of Chinn for failing to attend one of the GB trips or something (jokes about him not being on the plane - whether he missed the flight or was chucked off the team, I don't recall).

It was obviously such a painful memory I have completely wiped it from my recollection of Panthers history! What did they do with his shirts? Is there someone out there with a Chinn Panthers shirt?
The sexy neilson hockey tweets are funny. Yesterday I even read one out to a non hockey fan, having already explained the backgound, and she laughed like a drain! Is it a Belfast fan??
