Darts is dreadful Sunny, i thought you had better sense than that.... It's second only to football for viewing figures on sky. Why do you think they're having to move to arenas and prize money is rocketing? Taylor v Barney is must-see tv. I'm guessing there's potential for 2000+ fans to be sat at tables on the floor. Wouldn't surprise if they shift all the tickets and open up some tiered seats.

It's men throwing sticks at a board for christs sake! There is no variation whatsoever! The reason they get more viewing figures is because it's on every damn day

You know that's not how ratings are calculated. As for your assessment of the game, "football is just men kicking a bag of wind golf is hitting a ball with a stick b'ball is throwing a ball at a hoop ice hockey is ugly Canadians fighting cricketers take tea!" etc etc. Hot tix

Different people get different things out of different sports. Just because you don't see the attraction in darts, that doesn't invalidate darts as a worth while thing to watch for other people - a lot more people than who want to watch EIHL it seems!

They ended up removing a partition wall yesterday to let more people in.
Taylor beat Barney 3-1.

People can relate to and understand darts. They don't know 'American' sports and most don't want to. I'll never know how anyone can prefer rugby to NFL.

Because it's faster, they don't need ridiculous padding and the players don't do a dance every time they do something right.

I'll never know how anyone can prefer rugby to NFL. I do. NFL is too stop-start. It takes them 4 hours to play a 60 minute game.

Real hockey players play on grass then. Read what you want to read. Padding is fine, but to the extent that they wear it? It's stupid. I'd enjoy gridiron a lot more if they'd just get on with it without their dances and their 48 breaks per quarter.
