You don't half talk some rubbish at times Dan. There's no more dramatic a sportsman than a premier league soccer player! Who brought drama into it? You did !! last post on the page Mr Newham

My POV for what its worth is; i cant get excited about a sport with very little variables. In theory there is nothing stopping you getting 180 each time, its only practice. what the other competitor does (again in theory) is irrelevant.

I said "and the players don't do a dance every time they do something right" which is right, they don't in rugger. The difference between football players and gridiron players (and im not defending the football cheats) is that the footballers do it to gain an advantage. There's no point to the AF players dances considering they do it all the time

It's the only team sport where the team can't celebrate together. Football and ice hopckey celebrations are far more elaborate. But like I said, wrong thread.

Apparently if you make the semis of the Lakeside you can’t switch to the PDC. The 3 Dutch lads all lost in the 1st round in huge upsets. Hmmm Transfer

Apparently the standard of play in this tourney has been amazing with guys topping 100 averages and still losing. Taylor's dodgy form has continued and he can't qualify now. Manley, Lloyd and King have been excellent as has Van Gerwen for the Dutch. MoDEngland has already beaten the Dutch now though there will be a knockout over the weekend. The event takes a day off tomorrow so some of the players can fly back to the UK to play in the Prem League at the NIC. There's no tv coverage in this country of the Master of Darts though it's getting live network coverage every evening in Holland with 2,500 fans in the arena. Darts is monster big over there! In the NIC they've sold out all floor tix and of blocks 6-14 that went on sale only blocks 8 9 10 11 and 12 have seats left. Blocks 8 and 12 are down to singles. Blocks 9 10 and 11 have plenty of seats from about Row R onwards. Sounds like 4,000 ish crowd to me then. Apparently Sheffield may sell the most (Barney v Taylor there) as they have sold 5000 already.

Over 5000 tickets sold for tonight. The Hallam doesn't see such big crowds for sport normally!!

THREE POUNDS AND TWENTY PENCE FOR A PINT in Shuff last night. It was £3 in the NIC. Apparently a lot of people have complained it took way too long to get served beer in both venues. Who'd have thunk that, eh??
