Following Arsenal's intriguing splash into the transfer market I thought I'd get the rumour mill turning.
Darren Bent to Liverpool or Newcastle for £6m Defoe to Liverpool for £7m. Kuyt to Newcastle or Liverpool for £8m. Owen to Arsenal for £13m. Mohamadou Diarra to Real Madrid for £16m. SWP to Newcastle or Liverpool for £13m. Shevchenko to Chelsea for £25m + Crespo. Drogba to Lyon for £9m. Gudjonson to Spain for £6m. Pires to Villareal on a free. Andy Johnson to leave Palace today for £10m. Spurs may gazump Everton and Bolton. Pennant to Liverpool for £6m. Alves to Liverpool for £6m. Glen Johnson to WHU for £3m. Huth and Bridge to Fulham for £8m. Mouhamadou Dabo to Man Utd. And Juve to sell everyone bar Del Piero after the World Cup!

Think there's a comedian in the house! Not any more ;D Re the Huth & Bridge transfer Sunny mentions, I recall much of that depends on whether Chelski are willing to sell for £8m, apparently that's all Coleman has for transfers. Still both are good defenders, especially Huth who everyone seems to rate apart from Mourinho. Juve will end up like Lazio did after their financial woes

Then again, I don't rate Steven Gerrard.....

John Obi Mikel to cost Chelsea £13m with Man Utd getting £10m of that. Not bad to say he never kicked a ball for Man U.
Having said that many consider JOM to be THE best young player in the world.

CalderwoodPires has joined Villareal. He's good, there's no doubt about that but best youngster in the world? I'm not sure.... I know we've had this debate before on some other thread on here. I don't think it matters who the best is now. It's who turns out to be the best by the end of his career. Mikel, Rooney, Theo, Adu, Messi, Tevez, Robinho, Pienaar, Fabregas..... time will tell.

You actually wanted him Shin? Don't see why not, done a good job at a lower level He spent a fair bit of cash and apparently had to go up to keep his job. He's one guy I do not want despite the Evening Post's best efforts. Boro have told Spurs to forget about Downing.

[/u] better options out there[/quote] It's just an opinion Daniel, if it doesn't suit, so be it. I (along with a lot of others I might add) don't share your dislike of David Johnson. If it isn't too be Calderwood, but someone else, then fine I have not intention of making a big deal about it. Don't see why not, done a good job at a lower level He spent a fair bit of cash and apparently had to go up to keep his job. He's one guy I do not want despite the Evening Post's best efforts. So he's a guy who can work under pressure if that's the case? I hope whoever gets the City Ground hot seat, or should it be poisoned chalice, can cope with the fickle Forest fans

Shin, his point is that with the money they've spent, like Forest they should have gone up, it's not like what Simpson has done with Carlisle.
