I thought tevez was going to Manu. I'm not convinced Arsenal will spash cash. Tevez could work behing Henry and the story is that Arsenal will unveil him before Brazil v Agentina check the prices! on Sunday. Tevez to Man U makes no sense unless he's replacing Rooney.

Man Utd aren't in the market for a striker. More likely an attacking midfielder that can play a forward role, but as far as I see if they sign anyone it'll be midfield cover.

West Ham fans should be dancing in the streets. They've signed £35m worth of talent on a years loan.
Apparently the big clubs want to see how they adapt to life in England.
Baptista may sign a years loan with Arsenal and Reyes do the same at Real. Apparently Atletico never wanted eyes and made the bid just to help Real out. Atletico bid low to show Arsenal that there was little interest in Reyes so that Arsenal would then accept Real's offer.
If it's true then expect a Real player to join Atletico on loan sometime this season.
Baptista would be awesome for the Gunners.

Whipped from the BBC:
WEST HAM: The deal of the day is done. Argentina internationals Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano (1705) have signed permanent contracts at Upton Park, joining from Brazilian side Corinthians. It overshadows West Ham's other capture of the day, Czech Republic under-17 keeper Marek Stech (1324).
Did anyone see this coming?? Come on be honest. West Ham got Tevez and Mascherano on permanent deals. I wonder what the odds were on this deal happening.
Oh and can anyone believe Roy Keane has signed Dwight Yorke? How many hatchets is Keane going to bury this week? Expect Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson, Jaap Stam and Roy Carroll to be linked with the black cats. Next thing you know, Subway will bring out a Prawn Sandwich and advertise it on Sunderlands shirts ;D

Moments after my last post, I read a player Roy Keane said wasn't good enough to play for Manchester Utd has signed for Sunderland.
Every Manchester Utd fan in the land should thank Roy Keane for signing the one, the only, LIAM MILLER.
I personally thank Roy Keane for this act of kindness. Next time I see him, I'll be sure to reward him with a Yorkie. All good deeds deserve some credit, and a Yorkie is a fair reward for signing Liam Miller.

Arsenal have been mugged there. Gallas was awesome 2 years ago but now he's just another moaning Frenchman. That said, he'll do well at Arsenal

They get arguably the best all-round defender in the world and some money as well. They now have the best central defence in the EPL. They already have Clichy coming thru and this 16 year old looks awesome. Jose apparently is livid with the deal. I'm not surprised as both teams needed Gallas more than they needed Cole. Bonus for Arsenal is £2m + £20,000 a week off the wage bill for Cygan. As for Julio the beast Baptista.......... he is the daddy. As for West Ham - this is basically a loan deal. Check out this article which shows that there is far more to this transfer then we know. Telegraph

Why? Im guessing cause of Theo Walcott... Because he's the best young English talent I've ever seen and has the potential to be our Henry, Ronaldhino, Messi, Nedved or Totti. BTW, I first heard a couple of years ago that Barca, and not Man Utd, had the best teenage footballer. Thanks to the Chelsea game everybody now knows about Messi. A little heads-up for the world cup, Messi may not even be Argentina's best player: Tevez. And the rumour is that the reason why this deal was able to happen was because Corinthians' real owner is a certain Russian. Theo is one of 4 outstanding teenagers in football that I know of: Messi Theo MikelAdu. Throw in 22 year old Tevez and it's possible that 3 of those 5 players could soon be at Chelsea. No wonder Wenger broke the bank for Theo! Well I was wrong about him joining Chelsea but I'm still going to quote myself! I do think Messi is the better player though. Out of all of them, including Rooney, Messi is the one I'd most want to sign.

Yep. Messi is class. Baptista could make Arsenal a force, especially if Terry Henry gets back on song. Looking at the wider Gallas scope, Sunbeam has a point that Arsenals defence looks good. He's no Steve Bould but he's not bad If they'd have brought in GG Buffon they'd be unbeatable.

I've got a nailed-on rumour about a Championship striker joining one of 4 possible potential EPL clubs in Jan. Can't post it now. Fee in the region of £4m.

well who is it then because there isnt that many good players in the championship that are good enough to play in the premiership.

well who is it then because there isnt that many good players in the championship that are good enough to play in the premiership. He's probably the only other striker in that division worth £4m. The 3 clubs who are expected to bid in Jan are Boro, Newcastle and Pompey. He would choose Newcastle first. Not keen on Pompey as he doesn't want to move that far. He wants to join the fourth (less-likely) bidder.
