Really good days test Cricket yesterday. Shame to lose Buttler so close to the end of play.
Fingers crossed that we can sneak past 400 this morning.

430 all out - we'd have taken that at 40-3 early yesterday!

430 all out - we'd have taken that at 40-3 early yesterday! For sure. Good to see Mitch go wicketless as well. Looks a good pitch for batting now though and perfect conditions today. We will do well to have them more than 4 down by the close.

264-5 in reply, 166 behind. Voges wicket at the end probably puts England on top.

289 all out. Aussies need 412 to win in a couple of days. We should get the job done from here, weather permitting.

Apparently there was a second test? I must've missed it.
Anyway, Aussies getting rolled at the moment, 110-8. Of course we could be 5 down by the close if we get them out too quickly but still.

Great stuff from Anderson following a "quiet" game at Lords....

Much needed 50 for Bell. 129-2

Bell getting lots of praise but that was a ridiculous shot to play at that time of day. Has taken some of the shine off a very good day for England.

Yeh, shame about that from Bell. He'd looked so good up until that point. I think that he's probably bought himself a bit more time.
Adam Lyth has got to be a major doubt now though. Another airy fairy waft way outside off stump with minimal foot movement.
All in all a top day for our boys though. Crack on tomorrow to 300+ now.

Very poor from Bairstow. Surely you are going to be expecting a short one from Johnson early on. Just shat himself and stuck his hand up. Same from Stokes..... It's 2 feet above the stumps. Just duck or take it on the chest. Keep your bloody bat and gloves out of the way FGS.

Root out fishing for a wide one, more poor shot selection. Running theme in test cricket these days.

Buttler pushes and prods for an hour and eventually misses a straight one.
Seems to be very scrambled thinking from England this morning.
Will be lucky to manage a lead of 100 now.

Why did Buttler not review it? We have 2 reviews left and he was the last recognised batsmen?

221-7 lunch, lead by 85 runs. A bit disappointing when you look at where we were just before close last night on 133-2.
On the flip side, after that early burst from Johnson this morning, we could've been skittled for under 200.
Huge afternoon session coming up.

100 lead is up. Hopefully we can push on a bit more. Wouldn't fancy chasing much above 200 batting last on this.

Broad gone. Valuable knock though. Need Moeen to give it some tap now and push the lead up over 150 and hopefully towards 200.
