Pakistan close day 1 of the 2nd test on 256-7 with Broad the pick of England's bowlers. 23 overs, 3 for 47.
Just need to finish em of quickly tomorrow, put 500 hundred on the board and then let Monty and Swann bowl em out. Easy...

7 wicket win for England leaves them 2-1 up heading into the final test.
Good work lads.

Series victory clinched with final day tons from Trott and Bell.
Good work by the test team to secure a 1st English series win in India since the mid 80's.

ECB show KP the door ( link). Great player and entertainer - disuptive selfish, arrogant (not a problem if its against the opposition). Natal, notts, Hampshire and now England players and I all glad to see the back of him. He is great if he is in control - does not respect - Moores, Newell, Straus, Gouch, Flower, Cook, - anyone but himself. Good riddance - lets build again.

Terrible news about Phil Hughes, desperately unlucky to be hit the way he was.

Shocking news Yotes - a freak injury; hit on the back of the neck and ruptures an artery.
RIP Phil Hughes

Great win over Durham Jets, smaller crowd but still nearly 7000 on a cool and blustery Sunday afternoon

Over 11000 spectators, Outlaw needed another 20 runs all round poor performance, they need to get a better keeper behind the stumps!!!!!!!

Won the toss and bat 1st. Lyth must be nervous!
Fingers crossed for a good start.

Very scratchy, nervous start from England. Kind of expect it from Lyth but pretty poor from Cook and Bell as senior players. Balance looks horribly out of touch so hopefully he can battle through it.
Lots of pressure on Root already, hope that does not become a recurring theme for the summer.
Please no more wickets before lunch....

Going from bad to worse. Bell is a walking wicket at the moment.

They're just setting it up for Stokes to cement his new Botham/Flintoff rep

Session 1 to Australia but well done to Root for pulling it back and to Balance for grinding it out.
88-3 at lunch.
