Would certainly be a welcome boost for the play offs. We have a very good defense and this would mean our offence would also be as good as anyone else's

Not saying you're wrong Shelton, and hope you're proven right, but it'd make a joke out of the IIHF's transfer window.

Not a chance the Italian teams holds his ITC, which he needs because he's in a foreign country. I doubt the IIHF would approve it. Signature or not, the Panthers needed to have his ITC before the deadline, and since he's been playing in Italy, I doubt very much they do have it... Like it or not David Clarke is classed as an ITC card holder this year.
If it does happen, which I doubt it will, it will make a complete mockery of the ITC system and the IIHF.

True but if the Italians have his card, then a combination of Italians/IIHF/Panthers Org. could effectively make his insurance invalid, thus invalidating the teams and that of any team they play. Now, had DC been playing in the EPL, I don't think this problem would be encountered because the deadline is on foreign transfers, rather than inter-country.

I hear what you're saying Helen but with all the will in the World Clarkie would not have left to play EPL hockey.
FWIW I didn't really expect to see him come back to be fair and agree with you as regards making a mockery of the 'rules'. (Whatever they are this month)

I know that, but I was just giving it as an example of inter-country transfer, as I doubt if he was at another Elite League club they would allow him to leave just before the play offs.

I think a prime example is Thompson from Bracknall. I can see him being here regular if Bracknall "don't need him"

Imo i dont think we need dave back for the playoffs looking at the way the team is playing the D is doing well the fire power is doing well everyone seams to know where everyone is so wouldnt bringing dave back just mess it all up.

The EPL are tied to IIHF rules the same as everyone else. There is a way this can work however. At the end of the Italian season DC's card will cease and his registration will revert to his home association. For this to happen the EIHA who will hold his registration have to complete his 'transfer' home. IF....and it is a big if, they do this quickly enough he will then be able to sign anywhere in this country. You cannot sign him from his Italian club, the IIHF transfer deadline has passed; you can only get him once his registration has reverted back to the EIHA. You might want to start hoping they pull their fingers out and complete his paperwork as quick as possible. I don't care who has been told what by whom. You have NOT SIGNED David Clarke. If you had he would be playing for you now as he would not be able to play anywhere else. I can believe you intend to try to sign him, or that he would like to return and has stated this wish publicly and that if all goes well he could be back for the playoffs. He may even have signed a contract of sorts so as to head off any attempts by another UK club, but DC cannot return unless the above happens quick enough. This comes from my friend at the IIHF.

Cheers Nem,
Seems Simple enough... We need a minor miracle to happen at the EIHA for Clarke to sign.
trouble is, I know Clarke's a good player, He could slot into any team; Where would you put him in ours? my only thought is...
Clarke - Wally - Molin Macca - Richo - Bergin Myers - Levers - Shmyr Ferrera - Neil - Lacky / Double shift any other forward.
